if she repeats everything you say, then say like (if her name is brandy, for example) "brandy's an idiot" over & over again. don't ever let her know she's bothering you, because that will keep her going. act like you don't care, and aggravate her even worse. that's the way to go. do that until she finally quits, or your parents smack both of you & then it'll stop. try to be cool to her though, and she may not want to act like a brat so much. she probably thinks you're cool or whatever

Be flattered that she wants to imitate you. While it feels annoying it means she looks up to you and admires you. How could anyone get angry about that? She is your sister and will be for your entire life, so why not be friends with her? The two of you will know each other forever. Try to look at things differently, if she mimics what you say or dresses like you try to find the funny side of it, how silly does she look or sound trying to be you? Isn't it a little cute? Give her a hug every now and then, let her know that you care about her. If she sees that it doesn't bother you that she copies you then she will be probably get over it faster. And if you are calling her names (like brat or worse) to her face then stop it right now. How would you like it if every time you saw her she was calling you dog breath? She's not a brat, she's your sissy start treating her like your sissy. Sisters can be the best friends you can ever have. But its up to you her big sissy to be a big sister and let her into your world.

YOu should be flattered because your sister looks up to you as a role model. You are very special to her and she wants to be like her big sister. Don't resist her in this way, ENCOURAGE HER by being the best role model ever:

1. Groom immaculately & dress nicely
2. Study harder than ever & don’t use profanity
3. Spend an hour a day in the library & at the gym
4. Honor your parents and your teachers
5. Get involved in a worthy school function & help someone every day
6. Go to Church & invite your sister
7. SMILE & speak badly of no one
8. Respect your sister and encourage her

Good Luck

hi...

i know little sisters can be annoying, because i had two of them growing up.

your little sister simply looks up to you and wants your attention.

you didn't mention her age, but if she's old enough to understand, maybe you and her could take time out two or three times a week to do something together -- coloring, outside playing ball, going for a walk.

she craves your attention and thinks you're just great! (even if she bugs the heck out of you!)

if you can be consistent with her, by scheduling a couple of activities a week together, then you can bargain with her to let you have your privacy when you want it sometimes....

maybe this would work?

take care./

Do things your sister can't do, go to your room and shut her out by jamming your door, so you geta few moments of peice. Your sister younger?? if so, it is just a phase and she'll get over it soon. I do know that it is very annoying though. But grin and bare it, i am sure you can get your own back at some point!

let her copy you, it's a sign that she looks up to you. Well, do something she can't. do the splits and laugh because she can't do it. listen to some crappy music and when she gets excited about it say how can you listen to that? I wouldn't recommend trying to shake off a younger sibling because it shows coldness. and they may grow up resenting everything about life because event their older sibling hates them. That's how little kids act. lemme guess out of the blue here. You are 13-17 and your little sister is what 5-12?

That's what sisters do. You used to do it also, only because you had no older sister, you did it to your mom. Get over it, be flattered and stop acting like a brat.

My sister used to copy me all the time too and it totally bugged the hell out of me. But then one day, she just got her own identity and started liking her own things seperate from me. So just wait until your sister gets older and gets exposed to more things. And remember, that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

She copies you because she she looks ups to you, it is very normal. Most of the time if you can ignore the things that bother you she will slowly stop doing it.

i think it's just natural if little sister copies her big sister. you must be some sort of a role model for her (eventhough it can be irritating). but surely she'll grow out of it.
and what is it about ____________________ so i cant say anything bout them? you shouldn't have mentioned it in the first place. its the most random subject to be mentioned in here anyway....
