As you might have seen, I posted this question a few hours before.
I got alot of answers like this:
"Anyone can do anything. I can deny the existence of God."
or "Yeah. So what?"
This surely helped me alot further.
This time give your reason or argument with your answer please.
A few arguments that don't count:
- There are alot of contradictions in the bible.
I admit, after reading them I should say that there are mistakes in the bible. But none of them proves God fake.
- "There's no solid scientific proof that god exists. It's all faith and beliefs and if you don't have faith, you can deny the existance of god."
Not true, if there is no proof of his existence, then there isn't any proof of his nonexistence either.
It's hard for me to say (as christian), but I don't agree with the super-praising christian's (even though I respect them) and atheists neither. We all should believe in the truth. That's for you to tell me.
And lastly, apologise for my bad english (probably).

I think, your answer is totally irrelevant. Only one simple reason, I'm not talking about the easter bunny, I'm talking about God.
And yes, it might seem crazy. If God might be true, the easter bunnies also could exist.
Well, for that we have the bible, the world and the holy spirit.

I don't think so, what you might think is an usefull argument is somewhere you can rely on. But I believe, God doesn't show himself in science, but rather in wisdom.

"You cannot simultaneously claim to be a Christian and believe there are mistakes in the Bible, for the Bible says there are no mistakes in it."
This is not true, because even though there are differences in the actions happened. The story remains the same.

"If God is real and possesses the potencies people ascribe to God, then God's existence should be obvious and readily observable. No book or leap of faith should be necessary."
This doesn't even deny his existence.
"2. Every culture has a different conception of God(s) and the subsequent things like the afterlife and origin of life. If I hear 1000 different versions of the same story, I'm inlcined to believe that none of them are accurate."
There are many religions in this world, but stating that because there are so many none of them would be true is concluded by yourself.
"3. As one who's grown up in a mostly religious family, I have had many discussions on this issue with intelligent and devout people, and it seems to me that their conception of God is based more upon wishful thinking and dogma than rational and systematic inquiry."
It seems, indeed. No proof.

Sorry, but I think my question is pretty clear. Why wouldn't I want a answer to begin with.
I just doubt atheists with their thought about God's existence, that's what I'm questioning.

Sure talking craps.
"Religious belief cannot withstand the glaring light of rationality, logic and critical thought. ....."
Christians believe in the truth too, and rational and logic opinion is here irrelevant, since it is higher powers, not what you can sense as human.
“Faith (belief without evidence) is a virtue."
If I'm reading correctly(im not english), that Richard Dawkins sure would be dumb.
Why would, 'what is unproven', be virtual.

"sorry but it's reasonable to assume that if there is no evidence that something exists then it doesn't."
I think you're blind. Let's say this. I'm sure you all would agree by that fact that something can be completely hidden. Like some police case which is still unsolved and closed just because there is no evidence. But it still happened. Then how can you rely on evidence.

I don't think this question is a moot at all, I'm not asking people to accept God as the truth. I blame atheists for not being able to deny the existence of God.

yes, your story has alot of truth. But you know, none of them have proven God's nonexistence, only huge mistakes in the Torah.
And about prayers. You know, obviously you sound so logic.
But I agree that it's hard to believe, but are you sure prayers are answered like that ?
When I think about my prayers that have been heard, your story really puts me into doubt, but I'm not convinced. Your words are not a statement based on truth, just because there is no evidence.

Yes I deny the existence of God. Why? Here are the reasons that come most readily to mind.
1. If God is real and possesses the potencies people ascribe to God, then God's existence should be obvious and readily observable. No book or leap of faith should be necessary.
2. Every culture has a different conception of God(s) and the subsequent things like the afterlife and origin of life. If I hear 1000 different versions of the same story, I'm inlcined to believe that none of them are accurate.
3. As one who's grown up in a mostly religious family, I have had many discussions on this issue with intelligent and devout people, and it seems to me that their conception of God is based more upon wishful thinking and dogma than rational and systematic inquiry.
4. Even if God is real, human suffering serves to me as proof that God, in relation to man, is apathetic, tyrannical, sadistic, impotent, or simply an incompetent creator. Thus, I have not came upon a conception of God that I feel is deserving of unwavering faith, worship and loyalty.

can i deny the existence of god
OK
'i acid burn hear by vehemently deny the existence of any and all supernatural Deity's or ideas there of' does that suit
the first law of thermodynamics states that, matter and energy can neither be created or destroyed, which has been tested so many times over its untrue, and every time found to be right
(steady state theory)
going by this, it would mean that the universe has always existed and always been there, for the closest thing to an eternity
the big bang theory states that the universe started at a point of mater (so their was X amount of matter to begin with, so energy and matter didn't come from no where) and e=mc2 states
energy=mass*299792458(m/s)(speed of light)squared
so energy can be converted to mass and mass to energy (pure energy, the sun does it every second about 450,000 tons a second in nuclear fusion)
so all of this is to the detriment of any kind of creator
OK next thing i will tackle is, what the bible says
the earth is flat, the sun goes around the earth, and the moon is a light 'and the lesser light to rule the night the stars also' which would suggest the stars are lesser than the moon, when in fact many are massive and are many times bigger than our star solar (the sun), you'd have thought they'd try to get this right
man was made from dirt, the problem is we are carbon based life forms, therefore that dirt would have to be carbon, not random dirt
and you can't make a woman from a man because of the XY chromozone issuse that would create you see males in one of their chromozone's have some gentic infomation missing (which makes us male) this is the Y chromozone, given that he made adam first, this would mean he can't have made eve from just what was in the rib owing to the fact he didn't have all the gentic infomation required for a female as they have all X chromozones, no 'missing' genetic infomation so whoops again
i could go on, but i digress
prayer
does prayer work, well going by christaintiy.com's definition prayer (im an atheist remember) does work very well their definiton is 'god will answer all prayers with a 'yes' 'no' and 'wait' response' going by that logic, god wins everytime
think about it, i pray to god for a new car (this can be applied to the health of a family member what ever)
and i win a car tomorow, god has answered my prayer
i win a car some 12 years later (i primary got a car myself by this time and forgot the prayer) but god has answered wait
and if it never happens, god has answered no, god can't lose, where is the 'oh god didn't answer my prayer'; because he just said no
why start a religion?
well if you where a wise man and needed to explain things, people looked up to you and you didn't know the answer isn't it easy to say the answer is 'god did it' and spew some rubbish about it with out yourself knowing to retain power over the people of your life
or you could use it to control the masses like when the Romans invaded Britain
religion is the great cop out, science is trying very hard to explain everything that it can though testing, evidence that we have and religion is saying 'god did it' wonderful that doesn't explain a lot
'it is far better to grasp reality than it is to carry on in a delusion no matter how comforting or reassuring it may be' - Carl Sagan (astrologist)
there is no evidence in gods favour and a hell of a lot of evidence for alternative ideas
i could crash the Yahoo server if i go on much more
look up the god delusion by dawkins and buy it that should help you understand more
on a final note, the bible seems to be the only source for these claims, i'd have thought a few people at least would have written about a man rising from the dead and into heaven don't you?'
there is histrocily speaking there is also no evidence
give me some evidence for it and i am open to all ideas

For any discussion like this, you need to define what you mean by "god". For the sake of this answer, let's assume it's the Christian god of the bible.
It is easy to deny the existence of the Christian god. We know Genesis is wrong (that's not how the earth was created). We know the Adam and Eve story is wrong, we know there was no virgin birth, we know there was no great flood. We know the bible is false, and that the god described in it does not exist. That is all provable. The Christian god is denied.
Now, whether there is some other all-powerful entity cannot be absolutely disproved, but the probability is next to zero and can therefore be rejected until evidence proves otherwise.

Firstly I don't drink alcohol, as it only ages people quite terribly. Thats not a real passage from the bible lol but it is funny that you put "John 3.16 am haha There is no evidence to support the claim that a deity exists. What you describe there is only opinion not fact and proves nothing. God is not right before anyones eyes in the first place. You assume that everything around you is the result of your deity, yet you have no proof. Anyway your probably trolling so it really doesn't matter

Religious belief cannot withstand the glaring light of rationality, logic and critical thought. The fact that religious belief is so prevalent tells us that there are a lot more people who are NOT capable of rationality, logic and critical thought than there are people who ARE capable of it.
“Faith (belief without evidence) is a virtue. The more your beliefs defy the evidence, the more virtuous you are. Virtuoso believers who can manage to believe something weird, unsupported and insupportable, in the teeth of evidence and reason, are especially highly rewarded.” ~ Richard Dawkins

I can't claim to know whether God exists, so you won't hear me deny God, but I know the origin of life, the universe, and everything has not yet been explained - not the significance of 42, anyway - so it is convenient for me to think of the answer to *that* question as God, but that word has a lot of prejudices associated with it so I hope that a better one is proposed. I firmly believe there is no point to organized religion beyond distracting people from the class war and helping them feel better when coping with life.
The non-existence of anything cannot be proven.
The Bible proves nothing.
You cannot simultaneously claim to be a Christian and believe there are mistakes in the Bible, for the Bible says there are no mistakes in it.

OK what you choose to be an "ok" answer shows that you really don't want an answer to begin with.
I don't deny the existence of god as I am agnostic, so I don't deny him or accept the presence of god.
To me I don't feel it, I don't feel the faith.
And yes there are many contradictions in the bible. So many in fact that if I ever come to feel that there is indeed a god I doubt it would be the Christian god, the god of the bible.
As far as the proof, the burden of proof would be on you should you choose to continue to want to argue with a non-believer.

Well, c'mon! Why don't you just tell us what you WANT us to say instead of being so confusing? What you're asking is the same as:
"Pick a number from 1 to 5 but don't pick 5 and you can't choose 3, 2 or 1."
Why don't you just say, "FOUR!" You ask if we can deny the existence of God and you want us to say, "No I can't deny the existence of God."
There. Are you happy? But I also can't deny the existence of God-zilla! Who am I to say God-zilla doesn't exist on some little remote, unexplored island just because I've never seen him, nor has my father, grandfather, great grandfather, great, great, grandfather, etc., etc., etc. There are no pictures of God-zilla, no cave paintings even, and in fact, nobody in verifiable human history can tell me they've ever seen God OR God-zilla!
This question is moot anyway.

I absolutely can deny his existence. Let me take the "You cant prove he doesnt exist" statement. Can you prove that the Easter Bunny isnt real? How could anyone do that? Does anyone past the age of, say 12 believe in the Easter Bunny? Why not? With your argument he COULD be real, but any sane person knows he isn't. The burden of proof rests on those who say something is real.

I think that the denial of GOD, or a creator, higher power, what ever you may choose to label the omnipotent creative energy that is, was, and always will be, is simply the rebellion of youth. The prodigal son if you will. Eventually most if not all people will come to admit to something greater than themselves, even if it is on there death bed. I also think that it is wrong to put this power in a box and sell it for 10%. GOD Bless.
