recently applied for a job at a large retail store, that sells building materials, the store is about to open, i have had 2 interviews back t back and they said they will call me for a 3rd, is this a good sign or just something they say to everyone ?

you never know.. every place is different.. I once applied at a place where I recieved 3 interviews, and they said they would call me back for a 4th.. they were giving interviews from each manager as they were trying to hire a whole new staff. I never got called back, but found out that they did the same 3 interviews with everyone else who had applied there.
You wont know until they call you back. If they dont call you back within a week, call them and let them know that you are still interested in the job if its open. Let them know you are still available. Its a new store, so I bet a lot of people are applying there. Good luck in getting the job!

Just the fact that you had more than one interview is a good sign, but don't celebrate until you get an actual offer and a starting date

do not get discouraged just move on you will find your niche.
