i bought a rolex watch. but its kinda cheap.

It's really hard to tell. A real Rolex watch- The second hand sweeps it does not tick with the seconds. Rolex's don't keep time fakes do, a Rolex looses about 2 minutes a month. Take off the back if it says ETA under the balance it's a fake. Also the wheels should be colored mostly red.
A friends bought one at our Value village which is a store people bring their unwanted merchandise to and they sell it. She thought it was real after having it examined twice by two differnt jewlers it was determind it was an imposter. The first jewler thought it was real. So I would say go have it checked out by a couple of jewlers I don't think they charge you to look at it. Hope it's real!

Quartz movements and chronograph (Rolex) movements of the second hands are different.
