N. CA residents what do you think of the new $1.2 multi lanes, thatmerge onto 2 ln highway?

Did you mean merge into the freeways, as in the interstates?

I am not from N California but I can picture such a highway engineering design in my own area and cannot see any problem with it as long as they are dedicated entry/merge points into the freeway a few kilometers away from any exit point to give the traffic a chance to merge (not create bottlenecks)

If it is a new concept , I am curious as well to know how it is working so I will follow up the answers to your question..
