Was it that long ago that Arab media sources (just last year) with errors (if not down right collusion) with major western media outlets were caught giving huge inacuracy as legitimate photo journalism and stories? (see http://zombietime.com/reuters_photo_fraud/ ) I get tired of the Arab distortions and those in the media who do such things. I am no right winger, just a seeker of the truth which I find is often lacking in Arab account and those western news outlets that rely on them. Why does this still go on?

I know that Palestinians did celebrate in the streets http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4XGyc8tAuk but I never heard of this fake and I couldn't find it on youtube, but such a thing as you say doesn't suprise me.

You are so right and so is Michael J.
Yes, people have short memories.
Yes, the media bring us what sells best, no matter if its accurate or not. Any way no one has time to bother and check if its accurate 'cause the next spin or item his pushing away the previous one. Every thing is so superficial but dressed as a serious and based truth. Israel is always an easy target to get some very dramatic headlines - the classical victimizers who torture the poor defenseless victims (the pallys). It's much easier and sensible to sell that narrative and not the truth.
Even worse is when news editors choose to distort the truth according to what the readers/spectators would like to get. These people have no problem to send a local Arab disguised as a reporter or cameraman who stage all kind of heart ripping scenes.
Yes we all saw and keep seeing every day lies perceived as truth but some of us choose to swallow it.

It's worrying. I gather that on youtube there is a 'film' portraying supposed Israeli tourists in New York cheering when the twin towers went down. Despite proof that it's in fact Arabs posing as Israelis and that the whole thing is manufactured, people still believe that some Jews and/or Israelis were happy about 9-11. It's such rubbish.

News is a business; whatever news sells well is the news that gets reported. As long as media outlets use lawsuit avoiding terms like "alleged" and "supposed" there's no stopping them.
