If you have the Toolbar displayed (usually on the left hand side of the screen), click on the letter 'A' (that's the Text button), and click on the picture you wish to add text to. This gives you the option to click on View in the Menu bar (at the top of the screen) and select Text Toolbar. Here you can select which font and what size you wish it to be.

I am guessing that your requirement is to be able to change the text in a file which is already there - not to change the text when you are adding it yourself.
The answer is that you can only do that by selecting the A button, setting the typing area over the already typed area and then re-typing - you will have access to View the Text Toolbar at that stage. You can set the typing area so that it is transparent or opaque.
If this is a file you are creating yourself it may just be easier to start again though!
Anyway - the text toolbar is only available in the current text entry box at any time.

Easy,
When you click on Text sign (A) font bar pops up automatically where you can edit your font.
Be sure, you can not edit your letters once you deselect your written letters so do all things before you deselect your letters.
Good luck!
