I've taken about an 8 week break from working out. I've heard that muscle has memory and once you have built it, it doesn't take long to re-build it again. How long do you think I am looking at to feel those muscles again? And would I be further ahead to work out every OTHER day as opposed to every SINGLE day, even tho my workouts aren't "hard"? They're generally for only about 20 to 30 minutes, and I do 40 minutes of cardio (walking) daily, as well. I've heard you should wait a day between workouts, but I have to wonder if that's really as beneficial as I've heard it is... I've worked out daily for long periods of time (5 to 6 days a week) and worked all muscle groups and saw progress... so what's the "real" scoop here?

do cardio every day, but work out with weights every other day. you could do cardio, then upper body exercises one day. cardio and lower body the next day. when you workout with weights, you get little tears in connective tissue. you need to give your body a day to repair the damage.
