I tend to get this alot, and I don't even need to be walking a dog (I don't actually own one I occasionally take my aunts dog out). Then there's the fact I'm only 15, not far off 16. I feel disgusted when I'm walking down a road and these older pervy men wolf whistle me or shout things out. I used to get it walking home after school in my school uniform as well and I don't think it's right.
Some people need to find women around their own age group to be interested in, not 30 odd years younger than them.

Dead good looking women? You should have said that it's a good thing that they were looking for dead chicks, since you don't have a chance with this living one.
Some older guys just like to flirt like that. It makes them feel young again. You won't understand that statement until you start to get up in your 30s & the age of 22 seems like a distant memory.
Of course, some older guys also hit on younger girls in case they may take the bait & date them, but that usually ends up being a case of trying to be young again. Just say something along the lines of "That's nice, you have a good day" & keep walking. (Or something similar.) It's what I do whenever I get hit on by older men. They're used to being rejected like that, so no worries on hurting their feelings. Be polite, not rude.

When men of a certain age talk to women your age many automatically think that they are trying to get them into bed, this not always the case. I'm 37 and when I returned to study in 2003 a lot of the girls on my course were a little stand-offish at first as they are that used to lads chatting them in nightclubs that they automatically think that all men are trying to chat them up.
I'm not saying that this guy wasn't trying to chat you up, he may have been, but where's the harm. When a woman is seen with a guy twenty odd years younger than her she is glorified, but when a man is seen with a girl that is twenty odd years younger than him he is almost branded a pervert or a dirty old man.

Well it was a bit wierd yes. But on the other hand he was probably a bit lonely and wanted some company.
And yes there are cases of 50 year old and older guys forming relationships with young ladies like you.

this guy is still human and no matter what age u are u are still allowed to chat up women. Be flattered and dont make the age become an issue. He does sound a dirty old perv because of his comment...could have used a better chat up line but there u go.

People have personalities whatever the age. This seems to be a shallow ageist post, based purely on the appearance of someones body and not the content of their mind!

Older men tend to flirt more. It generally is just their way of being nice. With that said, I think this was over the top.

If he didn't smack of desperation, or sound corny, when he spoke to you, then he has a lot of self assurance. Men are at the prime of life at 45 to 55, however, it is also the onset of the mid life crisis. It's interesting that you were moved enough by this to mention it here.
It certainly beats everybody keeping their heads down and ignoring everyone.
