Based on the bible, God allows divorce for the reasons of fornication. However, only God can judge individual as He is the only one who can read one's heart.

First, the only unforgivable sin is Blaspheme against the Holy Ghost, see Matt 12:31. Now, no woman (or anyone else) needs or should put up with abuse. Abuse is not ordained of God and in fact He does not like abuse. Jesus told us to love one another. In reality, I do not believe that in an abusive situation, the abused needs to ask forgiveness. I do not believe that God will hold such a person accountable for divorce if they have done all that they can to improve the situation. True, divorce seems to be the easy way out for way too many people and most should not look at it as a way out. But when a spouse becomes abusive, even dangerous, God will not hold the righteous accountable.

Because of Jesus, God is able to forgive anything if we follow Him. I John 1:9 in the Bible says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
It would probably be a good idea if you got yourself a copy of the New Testament and started reading to find out about God by what He said. The New International Version is a pretty easy to read version or the English Standard Version. Whatever....it's up to you. Read for yourself what Jesus is like. You don't have to take my word for it....or what anybody else here thinks.
Have fun reading!

In Islam God allowed divorce because human choices are never perfect. So, a man or a woman can get another chance with someone else.

God forgives all things to those who accept his Son, Our Lord as Savior and those who follow Him. A simple prayer is a great beginning. Ask Christ to show you. Even one word, "Help" is enough. But then you need to follow that up with action. Is there any proof in your life that you are a Christian? cause Christians are called to be different....we are given a new life. If not, start reading your bible...it is a living word and it changes hearts, and changes lives

If He doesn't, He's in deep doo doo !!! LOL He 'divorced' His wife (Israel). Go study Ezekiel (late in the book) To paraphrase: God told Eze that his wife would die that night and to not mourn or tell others. And God let it be known that He was not going to mourn for Israel.
Re: re marriage, the 'church' is pictured as the 'bride of Christ'...So, some deep mysteries are going on here; and the church fathers mucked it all up and we haven't clarified it to this day.

>>how about remarriage?<<
God forgives -- if you repent. If you remain in the remarriage, you haven't repented, now have you?
