Jesus showed us that personal prayers when in private may be as long as the petitioner needs.
It can also be simply a brief thank you. It should always be to our heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, Christ, or Christ Jesus.
If you refer to God as our heavenly Father, or Jehovah, or Almighty God is up to you as long as it is done respectfully.

Prayers are not based on the time consumed when praying. It is based on what you are telling to God whether you are heartfully praying or not. Just say to God what you wanted. B efore praying he know what you want to say to him already but he will only measure your sincerity on your prayers.

Until you feel satisfied with your conversation with god. You should pray about anything- things that are bothering you, things that you enjoyed because of God's grace, things you dis-liked, and God will answer your prayers if he finds them acceptable, becasue God knows best

A personal prayer can be any length you want it to be. It should contain thanksgiving, praise, confessions, and requests.

Thanking for the good stuff everyday - you don't have to address any god - but just thanks for the "this" and for more will be enough. (this is when you're about to eat or when you receive something - then say thank you aloud to the person who provide).
When member of your family get sick or even yourself get sick - say "please, heal me and I promise I'll be good after", or please heal my .........(whoever is sick that you really really love)...then say "thank you" once again.
Your prayer can be as short and precise as can be - but say it with intense feelings from your heart. And if you promise to do good after your prayer got answered - you've got to fullfil your promise - to play safe and it will be good for your feelings also.

There is no time limit. Include your Praise, your needs, your thanks, offer your support for someone else, and simply talk to God as you would your dad, a friend, a minister, or a doctor.
