If Mitt Romney continues to do better in the polls, do you think Mormonism will come under higher scrutiny?

JFK was the first catholic to be in office, even Bush is an outspoken Christian. However, most people feel that much of Christianity is acceptable and a good idea. However, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is one of the least understood religions. It is very likely that he will continue to be questioned about his beliefs, but it is unlikely that another politician would come up with some crazy anti-Mormon propganda to make him less popular. However, people in general may be very critical and not understanding.

I think Mitt Romney's seeking for the Republican nomination for U.S. president has already drawn a lot more attention to the Mormon Church than normally exists (or that would exist if he wasn't running), and it will contiunue to do so.

Yes, there will be some good that will come out of that, as well as some bad. People sometimes tend to think it's a bad thing that someone of a particular faith is running for the U.S. presidency (John F. Kennedy, a Catholic, had to put up with similar concerns when he ran), but then when people get to know the individual better, they realize that a lot of those fears tend to be unfounded.

I believe it will. Because the louder, more outspoken anti religious people will hate to have another man of faith in the oval office. It will just make them scared they are not in control of the world so they will just, instead of being tolerant, try to discredit him and his faith. The usual.
