Hi de guzman n, this is quite normal. Dogesses usually start their seasons about this age but most experts will say that although she is now capable of having puppies - you should wait until about 2 yr old before breeding when the body is more mature.

I raised chows for over 20 yrs there cycles very a male may bring them in sooner. You really shouldn't let her breed until she is at least 1yr but 1& 1/2 yrs is better. Word of caution keep your blood line pure no inbreeding if you don't you will end up with nuts. By this I mean a vicious or deformed dog you can't handle & will have to put down. That's where chow's got such a bad rep. In 20 yr's I never had 1 mean chow but my friend raised them also & bred father to daughter & so on & hers were all crazy would kill there pups, fight from day 1, & bite as soon as there eye's were open. If your not going to breed please get her fixed. Chows usually get put down when picked up because of there bad name. They are usually a 1 family dog but will slowly adjust if given to someone else but it takes time. Please ck the history of your dog to make sure your dog has a pure bloodline NO inbreeding if not you made a good choice & should have many yrs of LOVE an affection, if you are good to them they will be good to you. However they don't forget if you mistreat them they are kind of like a elephant there & sooner are later will show you they haven't forgot. Goodluck

She has gone into heat, she can get pregnant. It's not good for her to get bred at this young an age.So keep her isolated from other dogs and in an area that other dogs can't get into. You should consider spaying her as soon as possible. The pounds are full of unwanted chows and other dogs as well, and it's such a waste of life to kill animals because of senseless breeding

i wish your dad did no longer pay this terrible breeder any money. The pup could nonetheless be with the breeder for yet another 4 weeks, yet whilst the breeder is that undesirable, then perhaps that's superb the domestic canines are not with them. besides, do document them on your community ASPCA, Humane Society, etc and tell them the placement, because it truly is unlawful in maximum states to furnish or sell domestic canines before 8 weeks of age, mama or no. a good breeder might have saved the domestic canines regardless. besides, call your vet and refer to them. The pup hasn't had any photos, i do no longer care what the breeder says. without papers showing it had any photos, her observe isn't nicely worth crap, no longer that i might have faith the papers have been actual, besides. Edit: To the 1st poster..confident, that's attainable for a pup to be a Pit Bull, Chihuahua. If the father became the Chihuahua, meaning the mama laid down and permit him tie together with her. it truly is not rocket technological awareness. I knew a dogs that became so butt grotesque he became gorgeous. He became a Pit Bull/Dachshund mixture. i understand yet another dogs it truly is GSD/Chihuahua mixture, etc etc etc.

Unless you're a breeder, you really should talk to your vet about getting your dog fixed. It will make life much easier for you, and there are already an abundance of puppies needing good home.

Absolutely normal! Different dogs mature at different rates and yours is developing quickly. Please make sure you keep her away from any males. Five months is much too young for her to get pregnant.

If you aren't going to breed your dog, you need to get her fixed. It reduces her risk of cancer and you don't have to clean up her mess.
