neither is sinful in either ones faith or non faith. both have a good perspective on their own personal truths. but to Christians anything they don't like is a sin. they think they are equally sinful.

Just being something is not a sin because if that were true then the mere act of existence would be a sin and it is not. There is no such thing as being more sinful. A sin is a sin is a sin. I don't believe that it's a sin to be a atheist, in my eyes it's simply being foolish. I would hate to be the person who lives life in pretense that there is no God then find out at the end that there is a God.
I don't think there exists any kind of measuring device to measure Christianity or belief or sin. If one wants to find a true measure then place one's self next to Jesus and see the ultimate way that one should live one's life.

I would think from the perspective of a christian point of view, we (pagans) would be more sinful for the whole "false gods" thing.
I would almost be apt to believe that the atheists would be covered under the blanket of ignorance.
May I remind you that these are only my thoughts of what would be from a christian point of view. Not my personal opinion. No disrespect intended to Atheists.
You all should already know, I value and respect ALL beliefs.
Well, Except the whole Satanist thing, due to the fact that I do not believe in Satan. But you get the picture!
Blessings To All!

First, very few Christians I know believe you NEED religion to supply you with morality – or to be moral. I have heard that view but it is a minority and extremely shallow view.
CS. Lewis, in Mere Christianity explained the position much more clearly.
All people have morality – okay, extreme sociopaths excluded. Philosophically/Theologically, it isn’t a question of whether you need religion to be moral, it is a question of whether morals make sense – not if you are moral but why would/should anyone be moral at any given moment?
Regarding sinfulness – who is more sinful – the question should be a pass for any reasonable Christian because the answer is more self-reflective ie: How sinful am I and what steps do I need to take to lead a more righteous life?
The bible contains no ranking system for sin. In fact, it indicates that the “law” is a whole so that if you break one part, you have broken the entire law and are a lawbreaker. Again, theologically, that evens out the sin from God’s perspective. And please, no responses indicating that murder and stealing a pack of gum are equivalent – because that is like the silliness of asking how many angels can dance on the head of a needle – it is a diversion.
Back to the idea of morality. I believe Christians often frame their belief on morality and atheism – for instance – in terms of how can an atheist be moral. I believe that question indicates a lack of understanding of their own religious beliefs and a lack of understanding of the bible. The bible is rife with references to our natural understanding of God’s moral law – ie: the law written in our hearts.
Morality is not something we learn from religion – it is something we all have built into our design. The bible simply explains some of the nuances of morality and the authoritative source of morality – God. Therefore a pagan – worshiping false gods, an atheist – worshipping no gods (theoretically), or any other person with a belief system – can all be equally as moral and equally as sinful in their actions as the Christian.
Too long an explanation, I know, and we didn’t really get to explain why morality based on personal insight or societal morays is insufficient to create any binding agreement on how you ought to live.
Indicating that something is “good” for society – therefore moral – indicates has create an authoritative moral standard without a binding authority – ie: what if I don’t care what you or society thinks – you have no right to push your contrived, non-binding, morality on me – except might. In which case, might makes right and things like genocides where the strong kill the weak are, in fact, moral actions – for them. Scary because that is what the Nazi’s said at Nurenburg. (search Legal Positivism and Nazi).
Food for thought.

Hi!
First of all, Atheists do have morality. As a Christian I know there is no worse sinner than me and no-one who is better than me. Nothing any of us believe can make us better or worse than the next person.
Good wishes.

Riegan,
A True Christian should not be Judging others. Sin is just that (Sin). It is wrong in the EYES of GOD. HE sets the standards and HE will send CHRIST who will Judge each and every one of us. I am a Christian and I attempt to read, study, and obey HIS HOLY WORD. Have a wonderful LORD'S DAY!
Thanks,

What do you mean you learnt how to spell ? - check the dictionary numbnuts, you can use learnt or learned.
yes, i learned how to be good (and how to spell) and i do help others rise. a friend of mine has difficulty getting from a sitting to standing position due to a medical problem. i help her rise all the time
Look at the number of grammatical errors in your answer(a;i;you forgot a comma after the bracket). I'm sure you used 'spell-check'. You need to get back to school young lady.

The greatest sin is not praising Jesus.
If you don't praise Jesus, for whatever reason, you are committing a horrific sin, for which the punishment is eternal burning and rotting in Hell; plus everyone in Hell will have worms.
Even actual sinning is so bad a sin as not praising Jesus.
Jesus wants to hear praise. He wants to hear you praising him, and your praise must be fervent and emotional; and he especially wants it to be loud and effusive.
God himself does not need praise like Jesus does, but since Jesus is the one who will judge you, you have to do it Jesus' way.
God basically sits back and watches; Jesus will make sure you suffer.
