Most schools now have a zero tolerance anti-bullying tolerance. You and/or your parents would first need to meet with the principal of the school to discuss the problem and/or concerns...you would never have grounds to file a suit without meeting your due diligence requirement in trying to resolve the matter without resorting to litigation, which can be very costly for your parents (and they would have to enter into a legal agreement with an attorney and likely have to pay a hefty retainer). However, the remedies are usually suing for the cost of home schooling materials or the cost associated with being placed in another school, which only temporarily circumvents the problem and does not teach you coping skills.

Many larger school systems have a Conflict Resolution Specialist that floats between all of the schools, but if requested and intervene first meet with you and find out what the problems are, help you develop better skills for dealing with conflict and confronting the bullies and teaching them better coping skills than picking on someone else for their own inadequacies.

First step is still letting your principal, or guidance counselor, if your school has one.

Well, if you are a student, you can certainly file a complaint with the Board of Education. I'd even copy the Commissioner of Education.

But, start by bringing it up to the principal.

I am glad you did not choose to hide this concern. Bullying is a very serious thing and must be erradicated from our schools. When you have trouble sleeping, eating, even going to school, it is harassment! You should not feel like that. Good luck!
