It sounds like a really nice tat. I say do it. Tats are sexy when placed right and I think that would look great. I would like to see it when finished.

Personally, I think "bitty" small scale piecemeal approach to tattooing on women can look tacky. The best tattooed bodies I have seen is where there is a uniform style or tattooist who has done the work and the bigger the better. If you get a large piece done you can see the tattoo rather than what looks like a blob unless you are right up close. If you aren't going to be brave and go big and you are set on having a tattoo, I would have it on a part of your body not usually exposed.
My husband and many of our friends are heavily tattooed. Many of them regret their early tattoos before they got hooked. A large well planned piece looks miles better than a maze of smaller tattoos by different styles and artists. Also remember to look after your skin and go to a reputable tattooist.
I would also get some tattooing magazines and see what I am talking about. Take you time before deciding and know exactly what you want and be 100% committed. The tattoo will be with you for the rest of your life.
There are lots of books out there and I would recommend "Miami Ink" which is a DVD about the tattooing world. I have included a link to this, one to a tattoo magazine and some good general advice to anyone get a tattoo.

That's the same place I have mine and I thought about the same things too but I love it where it is and wouldn't change a thing about it. It's pretty easy to find a dress that covers ya there and just don't wear anything without a back around someone you don't want to see it. Sounds like a great tatt and I would say go for it!

It's an individual thing. If it's what you really want then go for it. You are old enough to make decisions for yourself. But before having it done you need to think really carefully about it because it is going to be with you for life and you don't want your clothing to be governed around a tattoo. Also you may think it is a good idea now but will you in 20 years time? Just take a little time to think about it and make sure your not going to regret it!!

I have three tats across the top of my back and one on the back of my neck.. all quite large ones and I like them!
I don't care what anyone else thinks as I have them done for ME!
You're having it done for YOU, so if thats where you want it, then do it.
Although I have to say you sound like you're not sure, if you're the kind of person that worries what everyone else thinks then maybe you shouldn't be having a tattoo at all!
Good luck.

That will be the best place as when you go to work nobody will see it if you want to show it off on holiday you can take your top off. Just tell you mum that things are changing and tattos are part of the norm now. I am a finacial director and i have 3

Mom has a point there, I didn't consider these things when I got mine done, when it came time for my wedding I was a little limited to styles of dresses, ended up having a seamstress add a little more lace to the one I really liked.maybe your hip area would be a good place

Since you already have a tramp stamp (lower back) then you shouldn't get another one in your back area. When it comes to tattoos, less really IS more. Too much is really tacky, and really permanent. If you didn't have the other tattoo, it'd be totally fine, though.
