When used they Usually end up in a confession. Why don't more families/police departments utilize this option when trying to solve crimes?

some people do not believe in the accuracy of fingerprinting to identify a person, but the police use this technique all the time. some people do not beleive in eye witness testimony as reliable but it is used. some people believe that lie detectors are only 70 percent accurate, yet the police use them. There are some people who do not believe in DNA evidence as reliable or accurate. it is just another theory. So why should psychics be different. the police that beleive in them use them as they figure it cannot hurt if they get a lead and other evidence is developed. it does not mean it proves it is a true science. it just shows how desperate the police can be to get a clue, The police will use anything they can to solve a crime, and if they cannot solve it, they will use whatever they have to to get a conviction, even if they know the person is innocent. justice means nothing to them. The people that do not believe in Psychics and that also happen to be police in a decision making capacity, probably do NOT use them. this neither proves or disproves anything. it just shows that people are different, that is why. What people believe or do not believe does not prove or disprove anything. it is not subject to popular vote.

When our daughter disappeared on September 4, 1995 without a trace and it is February 17th, 2006, you will try anything to end the waiting and the pain. You can only pretend so long that she's coming home...but you have to put an end to this book.....and the endings were limited.

I don't know if they helped or not, but less than a year later they found our daughter 5 miles from our town, not two feet off the road. 5 MILES FROM MY HOUSE.

The powers that be know who they are. We are not better, but we can be, perhaps because of a psychics help.

Maybe my situation allows me to percieve psychics in a non-threatening, helpful, useful way,. Maybe they threaten your job security? You seem pretty defense of some old lady and her crystal ball?

Good question.

TV makes it look like our government is wasting a resource, doesn't it? But the truth is that the government has done serious research into the claims of psychics, and found them to be not better than taking chances.

So, they aren't used because they have not been seriously proven to make a difference.

Where are you getting the statistics for that? You're saying there was a study done or data analyzed that showed this? When a psychic is used, there are more confessions?

Is the psychic beating these suspects with hammers? I could see that working.

I think it's because it is a hit and miss proposition. Not totaly reliable. Sylvia Brown told a couple who's Child was missing, that the Child was Dead when in fact wasn't and was found alive.

Where did you get your info from? "When used they Usually end up in a confession." doesn't seem quite accurate to me.

no legal standing, the departement can't pay them because their testimony is worthless in court. and they are not reliable.
