The little end -- not the bigger end that plugs into the computer tower -- seems to not quite fit the digital camera, but goes right into the camcorder, as it should, of course. Anyone know?

USB cable Ver 2.00 , is usually the same in all the tools. but sometimes it makes some problems...
you know, because they may design different kinds of plugs, so it's possible that it doesn't work well with your still camera.

just try it! that won't take a lot of time! :-)

Are you sure the cable that came with the camcorder was USB? the camera end of a DV cable looks almost the same as the small USB used on still cameras.

The USB cable that came with my Sony DCR-HC48 camcorder worked with my Sony DSC-P93A digital camera.
