Anything that can be used for the common good or for the glory of God can be blessed. A blessing of this sort would be a prayer to God that the object continue to function well and that the object may be used for the common good and glory of God. It would also be a prayer asking to bless and make holy the persons using the object.

I remember in the musical Fiddler on the Roof, a man asked the rabbi if there was a blessing for the czar. The rabbi replied, "Yes. May the Lord bless and keep the czar....far, far away"

I don't think so.

For those who don't understand, it's just a way of expressing God's presence in everything, and how we should strive for holiness in everything we do.

It's not some magical rite and I don't like the way you make it sound like Catholic blessings are stupid...

Probably not, but we can come up for one if needed.

Sacramentals are sacred signs that help us live holy lives. Although they do not produce sanctifying grace

Sacramentals include blessings of persons, meals, objects (including water), and places.

The priest blesses the congregation during Mass.

Christians bless their meals. "Bless us O Lord and these thy gifts, ..."

Priests bless water, animals, ships, homes, and even automobiles. "God bless this home and all those who enter here."

With love in Christ.
