They are fried in oil!

Actual potatoes are great for our bodies, in children inparticular, but potato chips, whilst still having healhy parts of 'potato' in them, are made unhealthy by the way they are cooked. Most are cooked in deep fryers in gallons of unhealthy oil and fats. This then almost cancels out the healthy part of the chip - making it something that you should eat in moderation.

Potato chips - or crisps on the otherhand are made up of very little potato and are mostly saturated fats and other unhealthy things which in excess causes damage to our bodies.

Potato chips are fried, which means fatty, and are usually salty. While many people consider fat and salt two major food groups they are not healthy. Potato chips are a once in a while treat.

Potato chips in and of themselves are not bad for kids, eating them (and any food) in excess is! The chips are processed, and all types of preservatives, and fatty oils are used to make them. Like anything done in transfat you have to watch your intake. Why not make your own? slice potatos to your preferred thickness, put some p-nut oil in a pan . Heat and slowly add slices, cook in the oil until done to your liking of crisp, drain on paper towel, season to taste. You can make sweet potato chips, or season with various flavors such as garlic, cinnamon, etc!

Potatoes are very healthy natural food.

But as you pointed out potato chips are not healthy because they are highly processed leading to loss of good nutrients. All that frying, the oil, salt etc

In addition, the processing to make it last longer leads to addition of preservatives which are really unhealthy too.

Hope that helps.

Potato chips are fried in oil which makes the chips full of fat and are salted.

Maybe because they are deep fried in oil and covered with salt and preservatives.

Water is healthy but when you mix it with Scotch or Rum it becomes something different.

Nope. one hundred eighty is seen cooked. i think that the top end for "uncooked" is around one hundred twenty. i do no longer think of uncooked potatoes style very sturdy besides. quite starchy. you will desire to slice them with a mandolin and rinse them relatively nicely, then attempt utilising a dehydrator, yet i'm undecided that would desire to style very valuable.

They're fried in oils and lots of salt. Others have lots of ingredients that are bad for one.
