Muhammad is mentioned by name in the Old Testament
Songs of Solomon Chapter 5 verses 16:
"His mouth is sweet,he is altogether lovely, this is my beloved, this is my friend,oh Daughters of Jerusalem."
CTranslation Hebrew:
" Hikko Mamittakim Vi Kullo Muhammadim Zehdoodeh wa Zehraeeh,Bayna Jerusalem"
Notice that the word Muhammad is mentioned in this verses as in it's original language(Hebrew)
"......Furthermore it is declared that the coming of Mohammad under the name of 'AHMAD' and that his name is specifically recorded in 'TAWRAH' and 'INJIL' as the prophet of GENTILES [ an-nabi, ul-ummi, interprated by later orthodox as the 'unlettered prophet'] Nevertheless, the Jews [ and perhaps by implication, the Christians also seek to conceal the witness of thier scriptures and are guilty of misquoting and even wilfully perverting them."--[Moahammadanism,

John 14:16 "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever"
John 15:26 "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me"
John 14:26 "But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
John 16:7-14 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. How be it when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you."
" That God finding that the mildness of Isa had not proved effectual, had now sent him [prophet] who was the comforter promised by him [ Isa], to protect his followers from further prosecution, and to propagate the doctrine of the prophets and of Isa, who all taught that there was only one God ruling the world by his providence, a rewarder of the just and punisher of the evil-doers.[ An Account of The Rise And Progress of Mahometanism with the life of Mahomet- by HENRY STUBBE, M.A. of Christ Church- Oxford, From a manuscript copied by Charles Hornby of Pipe office in 1705, London,Luzac & Co. 1911, pg-87 ]
".....and there is a tradition that the nativity of Mahomet had been calculated and it had been predicted by a Jewish Genethlia that he should be a great prophet and prince."--[Ibid, pg-79]
"....the work has happily begun, the great God hath sent you a
prophet to conduct you, such as the sun never beheld. Edris, Noah, Abraham, Ismael, Moses, Isa had those charachter imprinted on them that we reverence thier memories and esteem, each of them truly great, but never ever equald Mahomet, the last and chiefest Apostle of God."--[ Ibid, pg-109]
" Deut. XXXiii-2, God is said to have come from 'Sinai', to have appearedin 'Sier' and manifested himself in 'Paran'which they interpret that God gave the Law to Moses in 'Sinai', that in 'Sier' which are mountains near Jerusalem, he gave the Gospel to 'Isa' and thereby further illustrated the Law [ in token of which 'Isa' himself was circumcised and he himself said that he came not to destroy the Law of Moses but to confirm it], lastly they say that by 'Paran' are meant the mountains near Meccah, where the same Law was
perfected and magnified by thier prophet Mahomet, who is the fullness of the Law of God."--[Ibid, pg-162]
" Isaiah XXi,7, we read --And he saw with a couple of horsemen a chariot of Asses and the chariot of camels......whereby the rider upon an *** they understand Jesus Christ, because he did so ride to Jerusalem, and by the rider on the camel, Mahomet, because he was an Arabian, which poeple used to ride upon camels."--[Ibid,
pg-163]
".......Lastly, whereas 'Isa' says in the Gospel [John-XVi,7], Except I go hence, the 'COMFORTER' will not come to you, but if I depart, I will send him unto you. By the comforter in this place, they say, is meant Mahomet, the paraclete or comforter being one of his names or titles in the Arabian language."--[ibid]
MOHAMMAD IN VEDAS:
" Inda jana up shrut narashans ratvishyate !!
Shashthi sehstra navanti cha coram aa rushmeshu !
Dehmhi !! ushtra yasya pravahini vadhumanto !!
Dwardash ! vershma rathasyani jihindate diw irshmana !!

-- [Ahtharva Veda, Kanda-20,sukta-127, mantras 1-3 ]
" O people, listen this emphatically ! The man of praise
[Mohammad] will be raised among the people. We take the emigrant in our shelter from sixty thousand and ninety enimies- whose conveyances are twenty camels and she-camels, whose loftiness of position touches the heaven and lowers it. He gave to " MAMAHE RISHI " hundreds of gold coins, ten circles, three hundred Arab horses and ten thousand cows. "
For those who believe that quran is a work of a humen being.....
"... But the Meccans still demanded of him [Muhammad] a miracle, and with remarkable boldness and self-confidence Mohammad appealed as the supreme confirmation of his mission to the Koran itself. Like all Arabs they were connoisseurs of language and rhetoric. Well then, IF KORAN WERE HIS OWN COMPOSITION OTHER MEN COULD RIVAL IT. If they could not [ and it is obvious that they could not ], then let them accept the Koran as an outstanding evidencial miracle."--[Mohammadanism, An Historical Survey, by HAMILTON A.R.GIBB, pg-40]

Actually, from among their brethren means from those closest to them in Aramaic idiom.
Jesus was quite like Moses. There were a number of stories, including Moses' birth, his upbringing, that paralleled Jesus, at least according to tradition and the Bible.
You point out some interesting angles, however.

Yes that's right and it's also mentioned in the Old testament the Holy city Macca or Bacca (Ancient name):
In Old Testament:
Interestingly enough, in the Old Testament we can find the mentioning of Mecca by its ancient name, Baca (see in Quran its also mentioned by the name Bacca or Becca) in connection with the pilgrimage.
Below is the quote from Psalms 84 (NIV):
1 How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD Almighty!
2 My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
3 Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young-- a place near your altar, O LORD Almighty, my King and my God.
4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you.
5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage.
6 As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools.
7 They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion.
In Quran:
"The most important shrine established for the people is the one in Becca; a blessed beacon for all the people. In it are clear signs: the station of Abraham. Anyone who enters it shall be granted safe passage. The people owe it to GOD that they shall observe Hajj to this shrine, when they can afford it. As for those who disbelieve, GOD does not need anyone." [3:96-97]

What would you say if I told you the Koran was written by 12 women who handed the manuscripts to a real man name Muhammad, who claimed God revealed it to him?
Muslims would reply, "We know this is Not true because of the vast amount of historical data we have to confirm that Muhammad wrote the Koran."
What would you say if I told you that Muhammad was a Christian who was baptized at age 16 by immersion for the remission of sins after his confession of Jesus as the divine son of God. That he attended church every first day and had communion weekly just like the church of the first century? And that he spent 35 years as a missionary preaching Christianity in Spain?
Muslims would reply, "that is ridiculous for you to suggest Muhammad was a Christian. All of world history says Muhammad was a Muslim, founder of Islam."
What would you say if I said that Muhammad was a Christian Prophet but after he died, his followers started the Islamic religion, named him their founder, burnt all the history books that said otherwise and rewrote a new world history that we have in our possession today?
What if a Muslim walked into a Church of Christ and told you that Jesus was a Muslim who did not die on the cross or raise from the dead, but that the Christian religion was invented by the 12 apostles all of which was based upon myth.
Yet that is exactly what Muslims teach.
The suggestion that Jesus was a practicing Muslim is as outrageous to Christians, as the suggestion that Muhammad was a Christian missionary.
Muslims claim that Muhammad is prophesied in the Bible:
"‘I will raise up a prophet from among their countrymen like you, and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him." (Deuteronomy 18:18) (Jesus Christ)
""I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come." (John 16:12-13)
The comforter or Holy Spirit that came on Pentecost in 33 AD.
Muslims claim Mohammed never sinned, but the Koran says otherwise: Sura 47:19, 48:1-2, 33:36-38

Abraham is widely regarded as the Patriarch of monotheism and the common father of the Jews, Christians and Muslims. Through his second son, Isaac, came all Israelite prophet including such towering figures as Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, Solomon and Jesus. May peace and blessing be upon them all. The advent of these great prophets was in partial fulfillment of God’s promises to bless the nations of earth through the descendents of Abraham (Genesis 12:2-3). Such fulfillment is wholeheartedly accepted by Muslims whose faith considers the belief in and respect of all prophets an article of faith.
BLESSING OF ISHMAEL AND ISAAC
Was the first born son of Abraham (Ishmael) and his descendants icluded in God’s covenant and promise? A few verses from the Bible may help shed some light on this question :
Genesis 12:2-3 speaks of God’s promise to Abraham and his descendants before any child was born to him.
Genesis 17:4 reiterates God’s promise after the birth of Ishmael and before the birth of Isaac.
In Genesis, ch.21. Isaac is specifically blessed but Ishmael was also specifically blessed and promised by God to become “ a great nation” especially in Genesis 21:13, 18.
According to Deuteronomy 21:15-17 the traditional rights and privileges of the first born son are not to be affected by the social status of his mother (being a ‘free’ woman such as Sarah, Isaac’s mother, or a “Bondwoman” such as Hagar, Ishmael’s mother). This is only consistent with the moral and humanitarian principles of all revealed faiths.
The full legitimacy of Ismael as Abraham’s son and “seed” and the full legitimacy of his mother, Hagar, as Abraham’s wife are clearly stated in Genesis 21:13 and 16:3.
After Jesus, the last Israelite messenger and prophet, it was time that God’s promise to bless Ismael and his descendants be fulfilled. Less than 600 years after Jesus, came the last messenger of God, Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) , from the progency of Abraham through Ishmael. God’s blessing of both of the main branches of Abraham’s family tree was now fulfilled. But are there additional corroborating evidence that the Bible did in fact foretell the advent of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him)?
MUHAMMAD (Peace be Upon Him):
The Prophet Like Unto Moses
Long time after Abraham, God’s promise to send the long-awaited Messenger was repeated this time in Moses’ word.
In Deuteronomy 18:18, Moses spoke of the prophet to be sent by God who is :
From among the Israelite’s “brethren” a reference to their Ishmaelite cousins as Ishmael was the other son of Abraham who was explicitly promised to become a “great nation”.
A prophet like unto Moses. There were hardly any two prophets who were so much alike as Moses and Muhammad. Both were given comprehensive law code of life, both encountered their enemies and were victors in miraculous ways, both were accepted as prophets/statesmen and both migrated following conspiracies to assassinate them. Analogies between Moses and Jesus overlooks not only the above similarities but other crucial ones as well (e.g. the natural birth, family life and death of Moses and Muhammad but no of Jesus, who was regarded by His followers as the Son of God and not exclusively a messenger of God, as Moses and Muhammad were and as Muslim belief Jesus was).
THE AWAITED PROPHET WAS TO COME FROM ARABIA
Deuteronomy 33:1-2 combines references to Moses, Jesus and Muhammad. It speaks of God (i.e. God’s revelation) coming from Sinai, rising from Seir (probably the village of Sa’ir near Jerusalem) and shining forth from Paran.
According to Genesis 21:21, the wilder-ness of Paran was the place where Ishmael settled (i.e. Arabia, specifically Mecca).
Indeed the King James version of the Bible mentions the pilgrims passing through the valley of Ba’ca (another name of Mecca) in Psalms 84:4-6.
Isaiah 42:1-13 speaks of the beloved of God. His elect and messenger who will bring down a law to be awaited in the isles and who “shall not fail nor be discouraged till he have set judgement on earth.” Verse 11, connects that awaited one with the descendants of Ke’dar. Who is Ke’dar? According to Genesis 25:13, Ke’dar was the second son of Ishmael, the ancestor of the prophet Muhammad.
