Someone with the beautiful name of Diane spoke lightly of having been 'blocked.' Sorry to say, whilst I've read remarks about it by others here, I know zip about it. If someone 'blocks' my posts, does it mean only that person is deprived of my meandering genius, or every dang body who's dipping into R&S? I do not want to know how to 'block' someone myself 'cause it just ain't my style. I'm an adult.

i never blocked anyone b4, but suppose someone followed your questions around and said some horrible stuff everytime you asked a q. They weren't just saying an opinion or debating, but they are actually vicously telling horrible things.... I have seen this... so i understand when someone has to block, but this is a last resort thing.. I dont think i will ever block anyone.

It's probably a good way to keep out trolls, and used by people who just want people to agree with them. Why they come here I don't know, I come here for a wide range (not always intelligent granted) of opinions and answers.

I haven't blocked anyone, and have no intentions of doing so, but that said I'm prepared to if someone decides to harass me. However what I want to know is how you can tell if someone's blocked you? I think I have but I want to know for sure!

P.S. Tonight must be my night someone e-mailed me to tell me my avatar is pornographic and not appropriate for a middleaged housewife.. Also threatened to report it if not changed by monday... LOL

Yup I replied... "LOL why wait til monday report away.."

Its a way of getting everyone to agree with you - you just block anyone who doesn't. Then you say "look, 100% of the world agrees with me - I am always rights - hurrah".

In wider society its called censorship of loss of freedom of speech.
