you will be required to admit to any and all drug use. failure to do so will result in a fraudulent enlistment charge and you will be screwed. if by some miracle you pass all the pee tests that are required to get in, you will be subject to random tests throughout your career, and if you pop positive, the consequences are FAR worse.

BTW..habitual use( cageorized as more than 5 times over a lifetime) is a PERMANENT disqualification with no chance of wiaver for the navy.

Here is the Answer: All recruiters or for the most part will try and get you to join, there are many out there that will be helpful and beneficial to you. Here is where it counts, IF IT IS NOT GUARANTEED IN YOUR CONTRACT YOU UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO ENLIST. That is the most powerful thing you have going for you. Who is the only branch of service that can guarantee you your job? The Army. This is a fact, I am not making this up, ask the other branches recruiters if they can then ask them to prove it, then go ask an Army recruiter to do the same..................they will.

FIRST - Don't believe a Recruiter. They tell you ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING to get you to sign. None of these promises are binding.

SECOND - Try your options. There's the Coast Guard, Local law enforcement, and even sailing clubs.

THIRD - Go to school. Get a degree and then if you are still interested, sign up. You'll start off in a much better spot and have more options available to you.

IF you sign up, that's a commitment that can't be broken. By staying in school or getting on to a local law enforcement agency you are not stuck in the middle of a desert with an M-4 guarding a latrine.

Hey skam the man, crawl back under the rock you were hiding under and find your brain,I wish i was still in the military, and taking on the job of putting twits as you in to the system,if you came up to me and said that,i would certainly show you the front door, and have the civilian police waiting outside to catch you. How's that for a straight answer!Go back to school and learn more about law and the Ocean,as the military is out of your grasp, our service's want people who do the right thing by their countrymen, not some drugged out wanker who doesn't know which way is up,or which end of the weapon you point at someone to subdue them, you'll probably shoot your stupid self in the foot.Stay as a civilian as it would be cheaper for the government.

It doesn't matter what you tell them, they administer drug tests and if it comes up hot, you are refused entrance to the military. By the way, they watch you pee so you can't try and find a way around it. When you're in, they randomly test the entire company anyway, so you might as well get over your habit now.

If you REALLY want to be in the military, stop smoking grass first. Not trying to lecture- just telling you like it is.

Good luck!

They wont refuse you for smoking grass. It requires a little more paperwork, and for you to talk to the Districts Commanding Officer. Now it may disqualify you from the Nuclear Program, big whoop. Sounds to me like you want to go YN, then cross to LN. Lay off the weed for a month, then go to the recruiter and have them test you. All recruiting offices have test kits, granted they are not as sensitive as the ones done at MEPS. If you piss hot at MEPS your done for a year if its weed. Anything else is PERMENENT DQ.

I had a friend who joined the army and he smoked a lot of weed. His recruiter just kept testing him until he was clean, it took 6 months for him to get cleaned out (like I said, he smoked ALOT). I think you should tell him. All the recruiter wants is for you to join anyway.

no he won't and all military recruters count on the fact that most of the population smoke weed at least once on there life. But don't tell them that you did. Just say that you lived in a very stable home and went to church every sunday. Cause even thou they count on it they still look down on it but at the same time they can't prove that you did or didn't. If you going to work for the govenment you going have to learn to lie once in awhile

I've seen undercover stings on tv where the recruiter would just give you a few more days to get the drug out of your system to retake a drug test. Not saying its right, but that's what I saw.

if you are still doing it, maybe he will be obliged to refuse your entrance. but if it's already history and you've not become an addict or something, i think you'll earn extra points for telling the truth.
