Sheilded speaker wires will have little effect on your cell phone interference. It's the magnetic fields emanating from the speakers voice coil that is disrupting your cell. High wattage amps and speakers, if any, certainly aren't helping the situation.

Best thing to do is turn the stereo down or off.

That should help.

Ferrite cores mute magnetic fields traveling along the outside of wires and coax, but only really helpfull where lead wires are feeding into amplifiers where the excess magnetic fields would cause feedback and hum. Not of any real use on a passive load like a speaker.

This type of interference is rare, but when it occurs, there's not much that can be done about it. Are you sure it's your speakers and not the radio that are picking up the interference? Does it still occur with your car radio powered off? How about with a different source than the radio tuner selected?

Ferrite beads are unlikely to help.
