We were told that our puppies are shepherd crosses. They came from the same litter yet, they dont look alike except for their color. We dont know what they are cross with but as I search the internet, one of them looks like a beagle/shepherd while the other looks like colli/shepherd. Has anyone have a dog that look identical to our puppies? They are 21lbs each at 12 weeks.

Ohh! They are so adorable!! Look at those eyes!!!

Anyway...yeah, Im thinking maybe a bit of collie or australian shep in there, they seem to have really thin noses for german sheps.
When they get bigger, though, it may be more clear what they are.
They could be a "heniz 57" too and just be a little of this and a bit of that and a smidge of this and the shep is just what came out strongest.

They are really cute, though, it really doesnt matter what breed they are with a face like that!

Shepherds come in several different colors. By their size, I go along with the shepherd crosses. You didn't say what they are crossed with but beagle doesn't look likely, they're too big. If the mom is a shepherd, she could have been bred several times by several different dogs & each puppy can have a different daddy. I rescued some pups & 1 looked like a yellow lab mix, 1 like a shelti mix, & 1 looked like a black beagle or mini lab. They are just special in their own right & appear to be happy healthy pups & they'll be good friends to you & your family. Congratulations!

Pups from the same litter don't necessarily have the same father. It is very possible that each of these puppies has different fathers. I can definitely see some beagle in them. They are so cute! But I would look into what dogs have ears like theirs- I think that might help you decide.

Ok just so i can get this out of my system, they are ADORABLE!

As for what breed they are, the two dogs that mated aren't neccesarily the only blood going into the dogs, some females are mated with twice in which other DNA is added. Plus dogs have hereditary history, just like humans so maybe one of the parents had beagle in them and the other some collie blood.

FInd out Yourself with the new MIX BREED DNA test do a search for it. It will tell you what breeds your dogs have. I can personally say that there is german shepard in them or at least it looks like it. The test is new and just got in the market but I am planning on getting one. Well good luck.

They definately look like a german shepherd cross. Its hard to say what the other cross could be. They look like they're going to mature to be a large size dog. They're very cute!

I have a full breed German Shepherd who accidentally had an affair with the Labrador (Lab) from next door and now we have a white Labrador looking with the golden accents that the german sheppherds got, but this one is a large one, its 5 months old and its about 60Lbs, its sweet like nobody. and very playful.

By looking at the pictures, they look like german shepherds, the big paws and the ears surely look like mine, if you provide me with an email address I can send you a similar picture of my full breed shepherd when she was 4months old
