"One charge made against it is that the saints in heaven cannot even hear our prayers, making it useless to ask for their intercession. However, this is not true. As Scripture indicates, those in heaven are aware of the prayers of those on earth. This can be seen, for example, in Revelation 5:8, where John depicts the saints in heaven offering our prayers to God under the form of "golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints." But if the saints in heaven are offering our prayers to God, then they must be aware of our prayers. They are aware of our petitions and present them to God by interceding for us. Revelation 5:8 that the saints in heaven do actively intercede for us. We are explicitly told by John that the incense they offer to God are the prayers of the saints. Prayers are not physical things and cannot be physically offered to God. Thus the saints in heaven are offering our prayers to God mentally. In other words, they are interceding. " They believe they are not praying to the saints but to God through the saints and with their help.

In Sunni and Sufi Islam, holy and religious people like saints may be given the power of dispensation, to plea to God on other's behalf. This is the gift of intercession or tawassul in Arabic.
The analogy that can be made is, for example, people in Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, even Bangkok can all view the sun at an exact moment, despite the fact that there is only one sun. Of course the sun's intensity may be different.
Likewise, saints can multi task very well and are very knowledgeable, pretty much like a big computer server. Our home PCs for example may be very limited.
So the 'power' they have is just a drop of God's Power in which they have been given. Think of petty change from the Infinitely Rich Millionaire!

Well... Mary was a great woman and dedicated to the Lord, no one will ever take that away from her. The Bible does not mention anything about his saints being omnipresent, omniscient or omnipotent... only God himself.
Jesus says in John 14:6 - "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Stating that the way to talk and walk with God is through him, no one else. He's there for us.
1 John 2:1-2 says: "My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world."
Hope this helps

Personally I think all prayer falls on deaf ears, but technically speaking, no they should not be able to. That is an invention of the Catholic church and it is not Biblical.
Oh no, I supported the Bible again, probably get another thumbs down for it from a fellow atheist.

death can not touch Mary or any of the Saints, via fact they're interior the hand of God, and that they are transforming into like Christ; heirs to the dominion of Heaven (Romans 8:17). If, hence, Jesus hears our prayers, and actual no Christian would deny he does, then they actual hear them too, via fact those in heaven have won the reward of eternal existence, and are not ineffective to the international. actual they love us in basic terms as Christ loves us, and definitely they pray for us (rather if we ask). hence, if we dishonor them with the help of ignoring them, we dishonor Christ, and if we dishonor Christ, then we are dishonoring God. could they be worshiped as God? No! yet provide honor the place honor is due and worship in basic terms God.

Churches have different ways of worshipping God, but in the end I personally believe it does not matter how, it is what is in your heart. God asked the Jews for sacrifces, as a part of their worship to Him. In Mark it gives what God really wants, not how we worship, but what He truly wants.
"And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love [his] neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices."

The interesting thing about your question is that it is actually asked quite often. The answer is.... God, Heaven, and the Church Triumphant are not of this realm and are outside of time. We here on earth and members of the Church Militant can not begin to fathom how things are done and accomplished on that other side.
