INRI is an acronym of the Latin phrase IESVS NAZARENVS REX IVDAEORVM, which translates to English as: "Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews." Pontius Pilate was the one who put it there. Gospel of John (19:19–20)
Besides, he hated T.G.I.F. (ironic isn't it). he was an Applebees guy.

T.G.I.F means thank God its Friday.

The cross had INRI posted on it. That means"Jesus the Nazarean, the King of Jews." It was the custom to place a sign stating the crucified's offense on the cross in Latin, Greek, and Hebrew.

btw, INRI is an acronym of the Latin phrase IESVS NAZARENVS REX IVDAEORVM.

Think God's Interested Finally?

INRI stands for:
Intricate Neurotransmitters Relay Information
Invented 'Nother Real Instrument
I'm Never Really Interested

Questions like this are a little confusing...I always thought it was INRI which means: I NEED RESPECT, IDIOT. But, if it is TGIF, I guess that would mean Jesus said: THANK GOD I FORGIVE. Seriously, it's Latin and I forget the words! Any nuns or priests on-line to help us out?

Wrong letters......

Just for kicks I'll add.....the sign read, Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews. And it wasn't actually just letters. It was completely written out and in three different languages.

It was INRI, which are the letters of something in Latin which was mocking Jesus.

But TGIF would be better, if the crucifix didn't look so very painful.

It says INRI, not TGIF. Is this supposed to be a joke, well I'm taking it pretty seriously. Well no it's not TGIF if you really didn't know though.

well, it has to do with some Hebrew restaurant, I'm sure.
Jesus used to hang out with his buds there at the end of every work week.
