Great question! My husband has had problems with the energy drinks. He's a radio DJ and works overnights, so he has relied on these drinks to stay awake many nights. One time, he had to drive seven hours without sleeping the night before (don't so this at home, kids) and drank six red bulls to stay awake. He came home and a week later, the enamel on four of his teeth was wearing off and causing tooth aches.
We Googled "energy drink tooth damage," and sure enough, other people have had the same problem!
Just a tip.... :D

Yes, Yes they are bad for teens.

Your body relies on a chemical balance to help with your growth and stability.
You are adding chemicals that your body may become dependent on because you drank too much at a young age. Your bodys development may become dependent on this drink if you take too much.

You are freakin 14!!!!! Sleep at least 6 hours and you will be fine, My gosh.

If you drink it once in a while then it should be fine, but every day is not good at your age.

If you choose to drink them I suggest drinking the sugarless ones and don't drink them all the time. Drinking the regular ones will eat up your teeth. Trust me I only started drinking them around August I went to a dentist in December and he could see that I was drinking them already due to the damage to my teeth. Also, since there is a lot of caffine and sugar in it, you will be all energize then when all that is gone you will be more tired than you were in the first place.

The worst thing about them, as noted with teeth issues, is all the corn suryp that is in there. Corn suryp should try to be avoided and only consumed occasionaly. Drink one every once in a while and your fine.

only if one is addicted to it.

remember, they're all drinks with about twice the caffeine as coffee. just think of Kramer in the Seinfeld episode where he got a lifetime pass for coffee.

now imagine 14yr olds with their hands shaking, being wired all the time. then the crash. then it becomes an addiction.

I don't think they're bad for teens.
Although, I do think it's bad that so many teens are kind of addicted to Monster in my area.

They are high in caffiene which is bad for anyone in excess.
If you drink them, limit intake to one or two/day.

I dunno, didn't we always hear, as teens, that we're too young for coffee. I dont' see the difference between coffee and this crap when it comes to caffiene content. Oh and Redline makes your heart beat very very fast.
