Get some A&d ointment and depending on if you have color and were its at do not submerge it in water when bathing, when it begins to peel and you want to scratch like crazy, use the ointment after a couple of dya the healing process is over and just go about like normal, But do not try and hurry the process and peel or take the skin off, cause a lot of people like to pick at it their tatts

Hi, Keep your tattoo clean and use a not scented lotion on it so it doesn't burn and you want to keep your tat soft. You will have some flaking in about a week 1/2 this is normal all tattoos flake, just don't try and pick the flakes off it could pull some of your tattoo off. After it heals always put lotion on the tat and if your going to be in the sun put 50 sun block on it and it will always look new. I do this and i have 6 tats and they all look like i just come them. Your tattoos are body art and a investment and we want to keep them nice. My tattoo artist told me this and it does work. Welcome To The World Of Tattoos. You won't be able to STOP at just one. You will see in time. A Friend.

Healing times and care differs for everyone - some say - keep it dry- some say keep it moist-.use a&d or use vaseline---.. so what to do?? ...... i have 15 tattoos and let me tell you that i have tried every which way and sometimes lotion works or a&d ect... depending on what part of my body i get it on - sometimes its itchy & sometimes its too dry... not every tattoo after care will be the same... the best bet is to talk to your artist- if they are truly experianced they will give you instructions! dont be afraid to ask lots of questions!!
Remember that good aftercare will determine the look of your tattoo. DONT SCRATCH or PICK at it!
Good Luck

Get your self some A+D Ointment, placed this on the tattoo as mandatory till it heals. do no longer enable it dry out in this time. additionally, ward off prolonged exposure to sunlight in the process the therapeutic technique, this could fade your colorings. save it sparkling with anti-bacterial cleansing soap (ie Dial) Oh, and the 1st day or so which you will % to maintain a gauze pad over it. yet every time it itches, do no longer SCRATCH! It facilitates to take a splash of the ointment and gently rub down the tat w/ the tips of your arms yet greater IMPORTANTLY: in case you get a tattoo, and the artist does not propose you on suitable tattoo care, they do no longer look to be completely doing their interest and you may desire to bypass to somebody else next time.

take good care of it and follow the instructions .. keeping it moist and out of the sun... Make sure you keep the area clean.. My bf went to work and some dirt got into the pours and they got all infected. The ink basically fell out of his skin. He had to go to the ER and get antibiotic and then have them redone b/c they were all blotchy.

-use a scentless lotion
-leave the bandage on it for 24 hours and once you take it off, dont cover it back up
- dont shower for 24 hours until the bandage comes off
-dont take it off to show people your tattoo or it could get infected
-once you take the bandage off, make sure you wash it with soap and warm water
- make sure its moisturized 24/7
-dont use any vaseline or stuff like that cause it eats the color out of your tattoo...
just some of the things my tattoo artist told me

Don't put vaseline on it, it will close the skin up and it won't be able to breathe. Other than that, no swimming, no soaking in the bathtub, not too much sunlight and and lotion, lotion, lotion.
