Praying isn't going to do anything! Its just an excuse and means your just plain old lazy. Get off your knees and go to school and get a form saying you are in school. Just ask them about it at school! I did it and it worked! If your in college you do not have to go to jury duty.

Interesting...I recently received a jury duty notice. I filled out the form and told them same thing (Classes start four days after the date of duty on the notice)...I was excused. I live in Kentucky, dont know what state you live in though. Even so, it is a civic duty to serve on a jury, not necessarily a civic duty to not reschedule classes or to not take a semester off. Have you asked your school for help or to let you take a semester off for the duty?

In NY you were allowed to postpone between 2-6 months.

Well, it's not a perfect world. I don't always get every prayer answered like a wishing well. I blame it on the public, laws, government or people that make hard, selfish, and unappropriate matters. Since we've all be given the freedom of choice, some choose to be nasty or evil or unfair.

Try praying with a group of people, but you all have to be devout Christians.

You will have plenty of time to study while waiting to be selected. If your jury duty falls on an exam day, I'm pretty sure the instructor will have to let you take a make-up exam. Just show him/her the summons.

by the way, you can call the court and be reassigned to a different time- I did a couple of years ago and it was fine. You just have to report to them, I know a college student who did this, just this past semester- he did not want to miss his finals, which were that week, and they switched him until later. Not showing up, will get in the contempt - but calling will work. God does love you- but that does not mean, He will call the court or professor for you.

Talk to your professor, by law, they are required to accommodate you!

Someone who works gets paid jury duty service, while they're unable to work, by their company.

Your school could do something for you, talk to your professor, if he doesn't help, talk to your school administrator, if they can't help, escalate to your Dean.

God loves you so much, he trusts you to know what to do to handle your own problems so you learn how to be self-reliant and independent. Take charge of your life.

Before you sit down, just tell them the defendant looks guilty- that's good enough for me. If you don't see the defendant just ask a bunch of racist and bigoted questions about the defendant. They will let you out very quickly.

It is apart of the Authority system that God has made (Romans 13)...

God does love you but maybe dury duty will be an opening for God to speak to you...

Ask for a delay - it takes about 1 minute to fill out the form and mail it in.
