I'm missing the joke here. There are a lot of questions with "whatever" in it. Why and what does it mean?

When someone says "OK, whatever", it generally mean that they don't want to continue the conversation. Nor do they want to say you may be right. it is very sarcastic. So they tell the other person
"OK, whatever you say" or simply "whatever"

Might be like saying "shut up"
