Which car suits me best if I just want to drive for convenience (also less fuel-consuming) and not for speed or show-off?

For automatic transmission and/or manual transmission here?

Automatics are nice to have, but manuals are way more fun. They are suppose to get better gas mileage than automatics as well. My manual has actually kept me from speeding since most of the time that would require me to shift to the next gear.

Generally speaking a vehicle with a manual shift transmission is slightly more efficient than an automatic transmission equipped vehicle. That's assuming you know how to drive and also know the optimum shift speeds.

Manual is more efficient. Automatic transmissions weigh more than manuals which is the main reason the use more gas. With a manual it is harder to eat, talk on the cell and shift.

Manual used to be the answer for best mileage, IF you knew what you were doing and were willing to pay constant attention to engine/speed management.
Automatics have come a long way in efficicency.
For convenience, a modern four speed auto is the choice.

Assuming you know how to drive a manual propperly I have to say go with the manual for economy. Automatics idle higher than manuals therefore use more fuel.
