I have gotten the best ground beef, the freshest lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc..... and I have yet to make a burger that has that same taste as an "In N Out" burger. What is the sauce they put on it? I've tried every variation, I even slightly toast the buns but my burgers have never turned out as good or even close to going to In N Out and purchasing one. Thank you for your comments.

If you have an "In N Out" close why not just go there? Nothing is better then a "Double Double", "Animal Style". Before we got one here two of my friends would drive about 140 miles, on a Sunday afternoon, for the ride and to get one for lunch.

most of the sites I found agree the sauce is a thousand island-ish combination of ketchup mayo and pickels, pickle juice or relish. Here is a site with a recipe, and comments from others down the right hand side.
