The concept of the soul is a human invention to separate the humans from the rest of the animals.

That's all.

First of all, just because you can't remember something doesn't mean it didn't happen to you. I have forgotten much of what happened in my first couple of years of life, and yet I am sure that I existed then, simply because others could tell me that I existed then.

Now perhaps you could argue that since no one observed a person's soul before birth, then it doesn't exist... However, I find that reasoning difficult to accept either. After all, just because we don't observe things doesn't mean they don't exist. Much of what we know about the world around us relies on tools, such as a microscope, telescope, or spectrometer, but we could not just simply observe those things by opening ours eyes. Even with these tools, that does not mean we are seeing everything yet. I do not think there is an end to what we can discover, because there is so much out there that we do not understand yet. So yes, I reserve some room for doubt about any conclusions about that which cannot be observed, whether it exists or not.

Let me explain first that I believe Heaven or Hell is just a state of mind, a choice, and not a final judgment.

Logically speaking, it would seem kind of dumb to come back from Heaven to be on Earth. If Heaven is better, then why would want to leave it? The only thing I can think of is maybe they feel there's more that they could have done on Earth, like they've forgotten something or want something back from their days on Earth, and so they returned to Earth. That's a bit of a stretch, but I could see it.

The only thing that makes a lot of sense to me is after someone has spent time in Hell. I don't believe Hell would be forever for all people. I think some people need to pay the price for what they did, and then when they're ready, they should have that second chance to make it better, to become a better person on Earth.

I guess when I think about it, really, it could go both ways. It could also be that neither one would be true. I don't discount any possibility!

your soul is with you when your born and the reason you can't remember anything from pre-birth is because you brain isn't developed yet. Oh and when you die if you believe an the Christian faith your soul will go to heaven. (After you accept Jesus Christ in your heart)

Well, if you don't remember anything from pre-birth, why do you think there isn't anything post death?? I have an answer to this question, but I am thinkin' you wanna debate the answer, not a genuine interest in what someone else thinks. With all do respect, I have no interest in doing so.

You never had a soul before you was born. Your soul was born along with you at the same time you were. A person doesn't exist pre-birth.

I usually like your posts, Donkey, but this is too easy to argue against. Keep up up the atheism, and remember: Darwin loves you.

(That was sarcasm. Atheists do not worship Darwin or treat evolution a s a religous text)

I remember suddenly existing, and sensing recieving my being from GOD. I was born into darkness, but I always had the memory of a first instant. I have had direct experiences of GOD since then, and HE has assured me that life continues after putting off bodily mortality like a seed of Immortality.

Netiher... I do not remember anything from pre-birth because I didn't exist pre-birth. And I don't believe there is anything post-death. We die and that's it.

And I'm okay with that.

hmm i wana see these answers.
I think that we arent anywhere before birth because our spirit has not been created yet.
I mean you cant go from hell to earth because you are in hell for being bad
But you cant go from heaven to earth because you would have to do something bad since earth is hell compared to heaven.
Before birth we are NOTHING litterally like how it is when your asleep. You notice nothing, feel nothing, think of nothin (unless your dreaming).
