Yes you can lose it. I did this program for nine days. I lost seven lbs in a week and two inches in my stomach. Here is the site to check it out.

How tall are you? Just wondering if 135 is a healthy weight for you, if you even should be losing 10 pounds. If you're 5'7" or taller, 125 is a little on the low side.

With sensible diet and exercise, you should lose 1 to 2 pounds a week. So if you have about 8 weeks until school starts, losing 10 pounds is doable. Just drink ONLY water (I lost 15 pounds in 2 months doing this...seriously), cut out fast food and sweets (fruits, veggies, whole grains, and lean meats are best!), and jog 30 minutes a day every day, and do toning exercises such as situps, bicep curls, and squats every other day.

its healthy to lose 1-2lbs a week (you simply cant lose more fat a week than that). if you are losing more its just water weight and muscle which means you are slowing down your metabolism and will gain it all back.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Low carb or low calorie diets always helped me. If you have a month to go, then either of these will help.
