I have mild eczema, but when I'm stressed (like lately, no job, very little food, and having trouble finding a place to live, I'm -very- stressed), I have severe eczema that causes my back to start bleeding excessively, often effects my chest and neck, and then moves to my arms. But it has never gotten so bad it traveled to my genitalia! Now, I have badly bleeding skin all around the labia majora and minora, perineum and around the anus. It hurts far worse than my back ever did (even when I could not wear a shirt at all, because my skin would break out at the least bit of rubbing)!

What can I do about this? I'm afraid to use lotions down there (I don't use prescription stuff, because I don't usually have this severe of eczema...I typically use stuff that has cocoa and/or shea butter in it, and also have a deep hydrating lotion that helps pretty well) because of the high sensitivity of the crotch region.

Any suggestions??

Purchase rolled Oatmeal (Quaker brand), not quick oats, rolled oats. Run bath water and place 1 cup un cooked oats in tub, sponge on skin and stay in tub about 15 mins. Pat dry. Because you are irritated by the burning and itching, you have spread to private parts because you may have scratched in your sleep and don't think to wash your hands before using restroom in the morning, thus wiping self and spreading more. Urine is an ammonia, so that amplifies the spread and burning and inflammation. It sound hard, but try to wash your hands each morning just to be sure that the dead cells you may have under your nails is removed before using the bathroom. When you get straightened out $ wise, visit dandesoap.com and order the Eczema Lotion cake and the Oatmeal and Honey soap. This lady makes everything totally all natural and she is an authority on curring Eczema without prescription-she helped me get completely rid of Eczema and psoriasis. My little boy had eczema on his cheeks. I used to be now not certain what system to make use of however I did not desire to make my boy move via any surgical procedure remedies at this younger age. Some instructed a plastic health practitioner considering that it used to be in an overly seen situation however our household health care provider suggest this ordinary advisor. try to go to the doctor and explain to him your situation; this seems pretty serious. Another thing to do is to not touch it ,rub it, itch it. i know it is so hard but use some will power and don't do it! lastly use some eucerin cream( find it at stores like longs or walmart) on the least sensitive parts. my brother had it pretty bad and he used the eucerin cream and bam it was gone in a couple of days. stress can really do a lot of damage . so remember ,despite the very hard conditions, to give yourself a few refreshing breaths outside to give yourself a little break from the stressful world. hope this helps.

Go see a dermatalogist soon! Even if you go and see your regular physician, he/she can prescribe something for you. I have mild eczema and can get away with using Cortaid (found in your pharmacy), but sounds like your problems is more than just mild. The prescription creams you get are much more concentrated and will work faster.

Go soon before it gets worse!

Good luck.
