Forget about the Environment - The whole Global warming thing is crap. It's just human pride thinking that we are more powerful than we are.

However, hybrid tanks would actually be very interesting with the technology they have out now. Already they have electric engines that could easily destroy most Gas and Diesel engines out there. With less moving parts, thus more reliable and durable.

The power curve is constantly there, where as a Gas/Diesel engine only hits max output for a small stretch of RPMs. So, really an electric engine would be a much better source of Constant power.

Good question... I'm sure the Gov is already developing such things as I have a friend who is currently working on an electric motor for Military helicoptors.

Not a stupid question at all. I remember watching a video piece on thatvideosite.com and it had a guy who ran a hybrid of gasoline and water to power his car. He actually made flames out of water!!! Check out my source before. At the end, they show that he is developing work with the U.S Military. I believe he said he used 6 oz. of water and a few sparks of gasoline to drive 60 miles. Watch the clip and it says. Just imagine saving the 504.5 gallons of fuel on a tank!
