Much of Jesus's message was negative in nature,in warning
of eternal damnation, and rubuking the religious leaders of the day and stating that he came not to bring peace, but rather a sword..yet, he was gentle, caring and unashamedly wept over lost humanity. The message of the cross should be central in any effort of sharing the Gospel with others and as you have stated,we need to present the entire counsel of God,rather than camping out on one theme,
such as, the subject of hell and eternal damnation. Some will be saved by the fear of fire...and others...by the love of the Cross. Rather than employing any "technique" in our wittnessing,I believe very strongly,in being sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit,in any given situation..some need to hear about the doctine of hell..some need to be convinced of the love of Jesus Christ, others need comfort or a kind word,or to just know that they are accepted and validated as a human being...My advice to anyone who would be a mouthpiece for the Lord wheather in word or deed,is to use wisdom,in sharing the good news and to be extremely sensitive and LISTEN to the point of need, that God may use you, to meet. There are no magical formulas...Be ready always to give to anyone who asks of you,an answer,a reason for the hope that lies within you.

I've seen the show. I think that they are just showing that everyone thinks that they are good people when in reality they are sinners. Everyone has broken most of the commandments and do so everyday. But I believe that the 10 are in need of a major overhaul. Its 2000 years later and people pick and choose what they want to believe and live by out of the bible. Kirk and his friend prove this everytime they talk to someone on the street.

I heard Ray Comfort speak at a conference. His method makes sense, but it's not something I would like to use. I prefer to develop relationships and minister to people through my life, rather than just approaching strangers like in the "way of the master" group. I mean I don't disagree with them, but that's just not the way I go about sharing the Gospel. I think a balance of the love and the brimstone are necessary. It's hard to try to just scare people, because it's not about that. It's about love, but the whole "inner-peace" thing is merely religious fluff. Obviously, a relationship with Christ isn't about achieving inner-peace, so we shouldn't "sell" it that way, but at the same time, it's not about punishment.
I'm glad that their method works for them, but I prefer a more subtle way. I plan on doing missions work while I'm in college, so I'll be sharing the gospel through work and lifestyle rather than by random.

Wow. each and every knee shall bow huh? thank you for such an eloquent expression of the belief of totalitarianism. it incredibly is possibly maximum suitable which you and human beings such as you're no longer allowed to run issues anymore right here in u . s . a .. Love thy neighbor; isn't that between the huge injunctions? With Christians such as you around, who desires enemas?

Good thing you are out there "witnessing." Like none of us have ever heard of Jesus or hell. What a waste of a life.

I think that he promotes that method because most people consider themselves Christians, but they really don't know what that means. Many "Christians" believe that they will go to heaven because they don't they think they have ever done anything that is bad enough to send them to Hell. The 10 commandments is a wakeup call to them to get them to consider what the Bible really teaches about salvation. This method is very effective for some, but of course for others it will not matter what we say until God unveils their eyes.

Yeah keep that Sabbath... Ridiculous, the entire idea that some Shepard's 5000 years ago had the first damn clue. Ugh makes my stomach turn.
Of course we have all those laws those idiots wrote about selling your kids and murdering girls who were raped. Maybe you fudies should just down play the first half of the bible in all ways?

We all witness based our own experiences and what led us to christ. X drug addicts witness about jesus's patience, grace and forgiveness. People who've committed hate crimes and acts of violence before turning their life over to god witness about the lord's
ability to literally take the anger right out of them. That's how it's supposed to be... witnessing from experience. We all know Jesus died for us. We need to tell people why... for grace, mercy and forgiveness.

I saw a You Tube clipping with Kirk Cameron, and a British guy 'peeling a banana'. It was in an attempt to symbolize God's creation of the Earth. It sadly missed it's mark in my humble opinion.
