being a Christian- you have a power to turn away from that lifestyle- just as much as any other Christian can turn from whatever sin they are struggling with. I will be upfront and honest here- Christ did not die so that you can continue doing what you know is sin in the eyes of God- He died so that you could have new life- and be given the strength to change. When Christians do sin, they of course can ask for forgiveness and God will forgive- but if you continue to sleep with a man, and then ask God to forgive- you have turned the free gift of Grace into Cheap grace. I will pray that you have strength to allow God to change you- I pray everyday that the Lord gives me strength to keep me pleasing Him, as well.
OK SHAWN S- show me in scripture where it says it is ok to be Christian and gay. Probably the same place it says that men and women can sleep together before marriage- it is not there, I believe God's word over some internet site!!

You are free to Love anyone you want.
I love my father, my brother, my male friends.

However,

Homosexuality, whether by choice or not by choice, is a sin.

However it is no better or worse than the sins of any other man. So let he without sin cast the first stone....

The problem is that people want to "celebrate" this sin.

Would you celebrate that you are a liar? Would you celebrate murdering someone? Would you celebrate blaspheming? Would you celebrate any birth defect that compels you to sin?

Well then why would you celebrate using Gods temple in a way other than which it was intended by the creator himself?

That is even a bigger perversion than the sin itself.

I was born a sinner.....It wasnt my choice...God more than likely isn't sitting up in heaven saying "OOOOHHHH, Ok... you were born that way... well Ok then go ahead."

Your sin is no worse than anyone elses.... dont let it drive you away from God.

Bless You.

God will always forgive you, but you must realize that homosexual action is a clear sin in God's eyes; numerous Bible references look down on such relations. Note that if you truly love God, you are called to make an effort to conquer your sin. (Look for verses against homosexuality in books such as Leviticus, Deutoronomy, and Paul's epistles.) Understand that homosexuality is just like any other temptation; alcoholism, other instances of sexual immorality, and bad tempers. They are not sins in themselves until they are acted upon.

ALL sin is forgivable. We none of us are perfect and we have all sinned and we all need God's forgiveness. Homosexuals are no different then any other person on earth. But to receive forgiveness from God we need to confess our sins to Him and to do our best to turn from our sins, and then trust in what the Bible teaches about Jesus and His forgiveness.

God will forgive you if you repent and TURN AWAY from your sin. Change must accompany repentance. We all struggle with bondage to a certain sin in some kind of way. I have in the past and just recently broke free from it. It is amazing how free and wonderful it can make you feel. You feel like a new person.

As the Bible demonstrated - all kind of sinners turned around and were saved. As the scripture below demonstrates, such sin may be forgiven if on becoming Christian it is left behind forever.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 9Do ye not know that unrighteous persons shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not err: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who make women of themselves, nor who abuse themselves with men, 10nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor abusive persons, nor the rapacious, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11And these things were some of you; but ye have been washed, but ye have been sanctified, but ye have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. I beleive God loves us all. I am Christian, but not overly religiouse, married mother of 3 and very traditional. I believe God gave us free reign and judgement will be handed out in the end, not by mortals. As long as you are a good person, try to do the right thing and believe in a higher power, you will be alright.

If you are a genuine believer in the Lord Jesus Christ then you do not go according to the concepts and advices of the World but rather.. you stick to what the Word reveals when it comes to your conduct and what you do with your body which is the temple of the Lord.

We all struggle with different besetting sins.. for you and I it may be lust and for others it might be anger or pride or something else. From what you have asked it seems as though you have been attacked in your mind with thoughts from the enemy of this nature for a long time and now he wants you to act out on these desires.

You are a man and you have been made in the image of God.. this is no light thing when it comes to satan. He would have you give up your rights and your standing as a man Ray so that he can utterly mess up your life. There is no temptation that the Lord cannot bring you out of. And the Lord is greater than the enemy ANY day...

One simple thing to remember.. and i remind myself of it each time i am weak to what i am struggling with...
and its this.. Whatever you feed WILL grow. If you feed these thoughts they will grow and if you practice entertaining these thoughts they will occupy your mind. and if this thing grows it will overcome you. IN llike manner if you feed your spirit in the word then the Lord can have a way to
-renew your mind
-strengthen your innerman
-sanctify you in the truth
-guard your heart and thoughts
-inoculate you from unhealthy things and teachings
-cause you to receive the sword of the spirit which is the word of GOd
-supply your spirit with nourishment
-make you strong

John in his epistles wrote
" i have written to you young men. because you are strong and the word of God abides in you and you have Overcome the evil one"
Hallelujah!

So dear one. Give the Lord a way to shepherd you OUT of this day by day. Come to Him in the word and with an open heart and pour out all that you carry onto Him. He knows HOW to deal with what bothers you and wants to carry what you struggle with.

Please brother... Do not submit to this temptation PUT in your way by satan to possess you with evil. It is a road that will take the Lord a long time to undo in you once you get into it. Sex and sexuality is not eternal....but your soul is. The Lord seeks to return to take those who are ready with Him. Please ... be one:)

" If we confess our sin He is FAITHFUL and RIGHTEOUS to forgive us our sin and CLEANSE us from ALL unrighteousness"

DO not listen to the council of the world..the WHOLE WORLD lies in the hands of the evil one.

Seek the Lord and His righteousness dear one:)

in Christ..

God did not make you to engage in homosexuality. Still he loves you no matter what sin you commit. You should try to get involved with an organization like "love won out" or "exodus international". http://www.exodus-international.org/ They will help you overcome this thru love.

Don't be deceived: neither fornicators (1Cr 6:9),
(The word here in Greek is male prostitutes.)
nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor the effeminate, nor [the homosexuals] the abusers of themselves with mankind [is the Greek word for homosexuals], nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revelers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God (1Cr 6:9-10).

Paul, writing to the Galatians in chapter 5, declares, "For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh. And these are contrary one to the other so that you cannot do the things that you would. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh which are manifest are these: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft [which is in the Greek pharmachia, the use of drugs], hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like, of the which I've told you before, as I've also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God" (Galatians 5:17-21).

Is that plain? Paul said DON'T be deceived. A lot of people are deceived into thinking that they can live however they please and still inherit the kingdom of God. Not so. And thus, these words should come as a searchlight to our own hearts. If I desire to inherit the kingdom of God, these things should be searching my own soul. For the unrighteous are not going to inherit the kingdom of God, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, not abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
