From fear and a desire to be part of a group. There is a Japanese saying that states the nail that sticks up gets hit with a hammer. Many people don't want to be the one that "sticks up," so they hide a lot of themselves.

Others may not because it intimidates or makes others uncomfortable.

Whatever the reason, it's a shame. :) Love back at ya!

Well, if you are really keen, intense and sincere about the 'depth' of the answer, I can think of only a 'noble' instance !
There was a 'realized' being who later came to be known as Bhagawan Ramana Maharishi.... There were volunteers around his Ashram (abode of dwelling) situated in South of India, to 'warn' visitors who chose to touch his feet (a symbolic act of seeking blessings) not to 'look' into the eyes of that being when touching his feet. Most people discounted this as a stupid belief, and seldom ventured to try it out !
But we can see the deep eyes of at least a few 'thoughtful' people around us to be able to 'see' such a possibility (we call piercing glances etc... and, ask any teenage girl, she can feel the stare of a youth behind her on her neck, without requiring to turn back and 'look' for it !)

Because " they " are of the " many " that you noted. I'm not of the " many " . . . Thus I don't think that same as " them ". . . I don't limit how brilliant my eyes might shine.

I am trying to figure out your nationality. It looks like the language you I having is not english ,looks like a direct translation from your language. Not all that you see are pleasing to your eyes. So a limit is set by law or moral standards. In magine you walk naked in the jungle and you walk naked in New York city you cause massive jam or accident and somebody might be hurt. If you walk naked in the jungle you get mosquitoes bite and kill your self. So laws of indecency is they to protect the public.
