This is just something i found off the internet. Please tell me what you think of it, because it is really making me think. =S

okok first off that galieo dude. he said that the earth revolves around the
sun, but that went against the teachings of the church so they placed him
under house arrest untill he died. GUESS WHAT?? the earth revolves around
the sun!

2nd christianity says that god created every thing, but who created god?

3rd christianity says that you should love every body and treat them
fairly...hmmm lets see weren't the nazis chritian? Also the crusaders who
raped, killed, and looted from tones of people did it all in the name of
"god." Slave drivers that were devoted chritians treated thier slaves like
nothing. what a way to follow ur religion

4th the whole adam and eve thing. the bible states that god created adam and
eve first, but fossil records clearly show that things where on the earth be
for humans.

5th the virgin birth. right...just think about it and you will realize how
stoopid that is. how can a virgin give birth?? that just goes against all
science except the type of lizard that can clone itself. if you still belive
in the virgin birth are you implying that mary was a lizard?

6th noahs arc 2 of every animal ehhh lets see...a boat that can hold 2
elephants, rhinos, giraffs, hippos, kimono dragons, apes, wolves, and etc.
is just im possible. it would take a genious to design a boat able to do
that and noah wasn't a genious.

7th again bout the noah story. god loves you right? well then how come he
drowned everything on the planet except 2 of each animal?

8th Ahhh Noah. A few questions for you too then - where did he get the polar
bears, penguins, etc from? Noah sends a dove out to see if there was any dry
land. But the dove returns without finding any. Then, just seven days later,
the dove goes out again and returns with an olive leaf. But how could an
olive tree survive the flood? And if any seeds happened to survive, they
certainly wouldn't germinate and grow leaves within a seven day period. When
the animals left the ark, what would they have eaten? There would have been
no plants after the ground had been submerged for nearly a year. What would
the carnivores have eaten? Whatever prey they ate would have gone extinct.
And how did the New World primates or the Australian marsupials find there
way back after the flood subsided? Noah kills the "clean beasts" and burns
their dead bodies for God. According to the bible, this would have caused
the extinction of all "clean" animals since only two of each were taken onto
the ark.

9th "Love your enemies."
Well, it's a nice thought. But it seems strange coming from someone who
damns his enemies to hell.

This isn't very profound, really.

The first and third point are criticisms of the behavior of a small group of Christians. But almost all modern Christians condemn those actions as well.

The second point can knock down just about any belief system concerning the origin of the universe.

The fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth points deal with points that are kind of trivial. Certainly some points are important to some denominations, but none of them are vital to the forgiveness of our sins, and our forgiveness of others.

The ninth point is an oversimplification of an issue for Christianity. But, you know, there are various denominations that struggle with the condemnation of non-believers, and there are other denominations which don't really subscribe to the loving of one's enemies.

1. Went against the teaching of the Catholic Church, not the Holy Bible. The Catholic Church and the Bible are not in total agreement.
2. God was not created, He is eternal, He has no begining and no end.
3. Just because someone says they're a Christian does not mean they are a Christian. I can say I'm Spiderman but that does not make it true. Jesus said you would recognize His diciples by their fruit.
4. The fossil record does not suggest this, also you are implying that there could never be any human fossils found that are in par with the oldest fossils in the world. Also carbon dating has its flaws. Also the Bible says God created Adam and Eve last, not first.
5. The virgin birth was from God. Only God can perform miracles, because only God can bend the laws of nature, since He created them. The virgin birth was a miracle, and no Mary was not a lizard.
6. First off, how do you know Noah was not a genius, do you have proof of this? Second, two of each kind of animals got on the arc, meaning two of the dog kind, not seperate kinds like foxes, wolves, hounds, etc, but one of each basic kind of animal.
7. God is just. He was punishing the earth for its sin. God is loving but He is also perfectly just.
8. The Bible says God brought the animals to Noah, not that Noah got all the animals himself. You obviously do not know scripture, because I have seen several scriptual errors in your question, statements, whatever you want to call them. Noah did not send out a dove first, he sent out a raven first and it did not come back. Next he sent out a dove and it came back with an olive branch. How do you know the flood killed all the plants? I have seen flooded areas and when they dry not all the plants are dead. What did they eat? Plants and meat. It is possiable that some of the animals may have had young on board. Also about Noah killing the clean animals, again actually read the Bible, it says Noah took one pair of unclean animals and seven pair of clean animals.
9. Christ died for His enemies. All you have to do is accept Him by faith. He is ready and waiting. If you reject the message of the gospel then you are telling God you do not need Him. Therefore you choose hell for yourself.

Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. God bless.

>>"but that went against the teachings of the church"<<

yes, the church, not God.

>>" who created god?"<<

God is not a distinct finite entity like we are. no need for a creator, definitionally pre-creation and beyond need for creation.

third, again, this is the behavior of people. irrelevant to God's existance. also note that during the age where the Jews were ... conquesting, it was specifically ordered by god, against people who descended from people inheriting a curse or something like that. and during that age when there was slaves, the God of judaism specifically gave limitations on how slaves were to be treated and such.

Adam and Eve, umm, check your reading comprehension? adam and eve were the last things god created by the story.

5th. actually its scientifically very possible for a woman to be impregnated without actual intercourse. remember both 1) in most cases the hymen is not a 100% closure. 2) especially in that age there were plenty of chances for it to be broken, such as riding horses and mules and such. 3) a healthy male's sperm has about 3 days to "get there" mere exposure in the right conditions, it would have a chance to get to its destination.
and on top of that, the whole bloody point is that it was supernatural and miraculous. (I don't belive jesus was a virgin birth anyway, but thats not even the point)

6th, actually some people did some math and estimation that a boat by the design given in the book, depending on a few details, *would* be able to hold appropriately. add that this was *WAY* back. some say that the idea is that they were proto-species, so for example where now theres dogs and wolves and cyotes and hyenas and whatnot, back then there'd be one canine that'd eventually split into the species as we know them. this would save a massive amount of space.
additionally nobody says noah was a genius, God gave him the directions.

7) again, because they turned bad, more completely and thoroughly worse than the current world, or something liek that.

8) again, this is only a month flood. would a tree disassemble and decompose that quickly? you can also inteperet that the flood wasn't *really* the *whole* world, but rather the whole vicinity. which is much less dramatic.

food for the animals... duh. its a big frickin boat.

>>" after the ground had been submerged for nearly a year. "<<
what? are you READING the book? its 40 days. just over a month.

clean things, good grief READ THE BOOK. its 7 pairs of all the clean animals.

#9. the hell-damming thing is a christian invention.

seriously. thats just sad. most of those are defeated with pretty conservative inteperetation, and simply reading what the text says.

I'll try to answer a couple of these as best I can. I don't know everything about the bible but I just want to use it in it's context.
#3 - Should Christians love everyone? yes. Do we always? no. Not a single one of us is perfect. But thankfully, the bible tells us that God is willing to forgive all. Are nazis that go and kill people and the crusaders that did other bad stuff good examples of living a Christian life? absolutely not. I would say to go by what the bible says as the standard and not by imperfect people, and certainly not by the worst possible examples you can find, it just isn't fair. Especially when the god that they speak of isn't the one of the bible that I've come to know.

#4 - fossil records. A lot of scientists use circular reasoning with this. They'll say "this fossil must be a billion years old because its right next to this billion year old piece of carbon stuff, and oh yeah, this carbon stuff is definitely a billion years old because it was found next to this billion year old fossil." I'm not saying this is how everybody better look at things, but to me, that's just not good enough proof.

Noah - I believe he was a genius. He had help building the ark, too. There were a lot of geniuses in history, take the pyramids or stonehenge for example. People are puzzled about how those were put together. It simply took geniuses to do it.
As for the flood, it was 40 days, not a year. To answer about the bird, it went out of the ark after the waters had already been receding for months.
Yes, God does love you. Genesis chapter 6 tells you why he flooded the earth. Verse 13 of the chapter will sum it up for you, too.

1- galileo- just because the church may have been wrong- that does not mean God does not exist or was wrong. that theory makes no sense.
2- God did create everything, God is uncreated, He has always been- just because you don't believe something does not make it false
3- Nazis- said they were Christians- that does not make them Christians. The crusaders killed "in the name of God"- that does not mean God was pleased or that He does not exist
4- God created everything, if man or animals or earth was created first really does not negate God either
5- The virgin Mary- a virgin cannot get pregnant by the human way- but God through His Spirit placed Jesus into the womb of Mary- NO SEX- if Jesus had been born of an earthly father, then He could not be the Son of God.
6- Noah was an ordinary man, used for extraordinary purposes. WIthout God, Noah would not have been able to build the ark- by the way, the Titanic was supposed to be built strong enough that "even God could not sink it". This is interesting to think about too, isn't it?
7- Yes, God loves us, but He is God- and Noah was the only righteous man on the earth at the time- God gave ALL people a very long time, to repent and they refused- there has to be justice for sin. TODAY we do not die from a flood- He promised He would never flood the earth again- we can be saved through Christ- is someone going to ignore that love?
8- God created the land, He can dry it quickly.
9-God SO LOVED THE WORLD- we choose to be His enemies or not- He loved us so much He sent His Son- it is us who choose to be His enemy- God is holy, and there has to be payment for sin- either us, in hell, or through the shed blood of Christ. "We were enemies of God, but God saves us through Christ".

You need to understand the bible or God's word.

1. We have free will and it was obvious that most people back then believed the traditions of man just like today, because they do not follow the bible correctly.

2. God is the beginning and the end. If you fellowship with him, you would understand and experience him physically. Take electricity for example: you can not see it, taste it or touch it but you learned how to use it, other wise you would not be on the computor. Why do you say this about God, when you did not get to understand him.

3. God does NOT love everyone, only the people that are in the body of Christ. He is going to squish billions of people when Jesus returns. If you believe and are obedient to him you are saved (John 3:16 - 18).

4. when ti

5.Yes, think about it. What is a virgin: a person who has not had sexual intercourse. God planted the seed into Mary (she is still a virgin and is pregnant), it says this all the way back in Genesis.

6. Noah had God to guide him.

7. God does not love everyone, only the people that are in the body of Christ.

8. God creates, kills, makes riches and makes poor.

9. Once again, he is stating about the people in the body of Christ, not your next door neighbor.

Question to you is: If God's word is not true, then how do you explain the bible describing what our church and other churches that follow soud doctorine: lay hands on the sick by the power of God and the faith of man. Cast out demons from possesd people and curse people that come aganist you?

Our church performs these things all of the time.

God is not a LOVE, LOVE, LOVE God. If you follow him, fellowship with him and be obidient you will see things happen, that are only of God, like the bible describes. Then and only then will he love you. If you do not believe in him, then you are on your own. Good Luck.

DO THE WILL OF GOD

You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)

1st. The church at that time was more government than church. Where in the Bible does it say, "The sun revolves around the earth"? It doesn't! Galileo may have gone against the teachings or traditions of the church (in this case, a misnomer--they were men), but he did not go against the teachings of God's Word.

2nd. God did create all things of nature. But He was, He is, and He always will be. "Ah ha!" you say. "Blind faith!" Not really. I know God, I know what He has done in my life, I know the promises that He has made true in my life, and going from that evidence, I have no problem believing Him when He says that He was. Before the earth, He was. It's that simple, yet that mind-boggling.

3rd. Just because a serial killer, for example, claims to be a Christian does not mean that he should immediately be used as an example or reference for all of Christianity. Look at the consistent actions of people like Hitler, slave drivers, and others. Do they reflect the teachings of the Bible? No. I can claim to be a surfer, I can dress like a surfer, and talk like one too. I can know all the information about the waves at the nearest beach. But I've never surfed. Ever. Hence, I'm not a surfer. Likewise, I can claim to be a Christian, I can talk like a Christian, etc. But unless my life, the fruit that my life produces, if you will, matches up with the Bible, then I am no Christian. If a person is a Christian, then you will see that in their lives. They won't be perfect, of course. But they will produce good fruit.

4th. What fossil records? Oh, the ones dated by scientists with a bias?

5th. Of course I'm not implying that Mary was a lizard. However, as God is the Creator of the womb, is He not allowed to use it as He wishes? Being born of a virgin was one of the important qualifications of the Messiah. God simply fulfilled it by His power. It was, in short, a miracle.

6th. You're right. God is a genius. God gave Noah the specifications of the Ark.

7th. Is it not better than a few perish than all? The people of the earth were locked in a vicious downward cycle. God stopped it, and gave humankind a new chance.

8th. Would it not be simple for the Creator of the animals to send the animals to Noah? In Genesis 6:21, God instructs Noah to take along enough food for the animals and for his family. It is possible the food lasted for a while after the Ark landed. As for how they got back, it was probably the same way they got to Noah in the first place--God's hand. And according to Genesis 7:2, Noah brought along extra of every "clean" animal; these he could use for sacrifices.

9th. "Damns his enemies to hell"? I don't think so. Rather, consider this: God created all things perfect. Man messed it up. God sent Moses and the Law to show man that he can't be perfect by his own power. Then, because He loves mankind so much, God sends His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, so that man can rely on Him for the forgiveness of sins and trust in Him for eternity in heaven. Instead of damning his enemies to hell, God has given mankind a get-out-of-jail-free card. It is man who damns himself to hell by refusing to accept it, by refusing to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.

Hope this helps!

Jesus damned demons, but was never beyond forgiveness. Consider These Codes in the Bible, Please.:

I'm a natural born Christian, the texts help but I knew God was there, the religion confirmed it. If people turn to the Father and the Son, they can be forgiven, to help faith I show people this, I'm almost positive anyone will listen to this "PROOF" of God:

Here are some of the famed Bible Codes that exist;

A) In the Bible all of the names in the old testament when translated back to their original Hebrew meanings literally spell out the story of Christ, from God's point of view, starting with, " I will appoint a man, a man of sorrow...",

B) All throughout the Bible there is a constant numerical code derived from translating the text back into Old Hebrew, in which letters represent numbers as well. The numbers in each row add up to 7,11,7,11,etc... This was thought to be possible to have occurred naturally, until they actually calculated the odds of this and they were 7 billion, and the odds of this occurring naturally were 11 trillion. This proves that ALTHOUGH the text was written by many different people in many different time periods, the code is constant showing God's influence on men's words from beyond time!

C) In the book of Revelations where the verse occurs,
"Let him who has an ear hear, Calculate the number of the beast, for the number of the beast is the number of a man, that number is 666."

Every 666th translated letter spells out:

Satan the Accuser.

I for one believe no man could do this, and there are MANY more codes. I only ask that you take the time to ask for yourself.

Please. Do not get me wrong for what I am going to say I am not defending the existence of God whatsoever.
But what you wrote about is only part of the problem. What you are really saying is that the Bible is Claptrap and Balderdash and Poppycock etc etc. Any person with common sense knows that whoever wrote the Bible were the masters of Bullsh....ing. Today the media, marketing, teleevangelists, preachers, priests, etc, etc. are using all those techniques taught in the Bible to create and led into a bulshit pandemic.
You mentioned only 8th topics that makes people think but there are more many more you just only scratched the tip of the iceberg
But it is a good beginning because it makes you think but be careful not to from the frying pan into the fire. (what I meant is that you should be careful not to become a victim of another scheme similar to the one you found in the Bible , because there are lots of religious movements besides the Bible followers Exercise care and think for yourself

1.That's just scientific ignorance on the church's part at that time;nothing to do with God

2.God said "I Am that I Am" or I Am I Am: meaning he always was, always is, and always will be.He has no creator; He's always existed. That's hard for us to comprehend be cuase we are not eternal like He is

3.No the Nazi's werent Christian;and you can see that obviously those others did not believe in the word of God;so dont say they were christian

4.Yes.Dinosaurs were;but the scientific dating is flawed.Mainly becuase of the lack of faith in God

5.You forget God is infinitely powerful and can do things however He wants

6.You under estimate the size of the boat and how much knowledge and understanding Noah had

7.Becuase we are His creation;NOT Him ours. And He has authority to do what He wants with us.Man had came to a level of sin that God was ready to destroy them;and becuase He still wanted life on the planet and all He needed was a male and female of each species.

8.Again you under estimate God

9.Love our enemies in this life;Eternity is a different thing, you believe or dont and those that dont will have no part in heaven.Remember,God's the boss, not us.
