my only purpose tonight was to throw a pink blow up dolphin for my 4 year old son to run and catch
and
to do dishes
I served no other purpose to the universe

Back in 1946, my mother and father went on a visit to his parents in the country, and my mother forgot to bring her birth control with her.
That's why I came into existence. As to why I still continue to exist, it's because the various suicide attempts I made in my 20s were too cowardly, and too ineffectual. And since that time, I've come to realize that while I do not fear death, I do fear pain, and so I have not tried again.
Now, as to any metaphysical value to this particular incarnation, I believe there are still things I need to learn. And I feel compelled to be a part of the great experiment in communication which is Yahoo Answers. I feel compelled to share what I have learned, and learn what I can share.

I exist because my mom and dad had a night of passion.
But my purpose today was to drive 3.5 hours to see a 7-11 in Seattle that has been turned into a Kwik-E-Mart so my son could see it. And what a purpose to have!

My mom and my dad discussed having me (ok it wasn't a discussion as much as grunts and moans)...
9 months later there were more grunts and moans and my mother telling my father "You are never touching me again as long as we both shall live, if you try it I will cut your thing off." (you know the usual) And out I came..
That is why I exist..
What I do with my existence is all up to me.. No one and no thing predetermined my path I determine it myself and am still figuring out day to day what my big thing is gonna be.. Right now it looks like it will be my children and raising them to be productive members of society so they can in turn pass that to their potential children..

So tommorow do something that makes you and you 4 year old even happier. All we can do is enjoy what we have. No one knows or can tell you specifically why we are here. Religions are full of conjecture but nothing more.

I exist to help others in their journey through life. I fail a lot. Tonight you existed to love and play with your son. You will turn around and he will be grown and gone. Enjoy him while you can.

Everybody is born into this world with some chance to be special. Nearly all of us waste that chance. I (now) exist to take up space, along with 99.9999% of the population, having passed the chance to be special onto my progeny. Hopefully they do more with it than I did.

Because my dad threw out my mom's birth control pills, thus I was an accident on purpose.
