You claim your "particular" god knows everything, but you yourselves have no understanding of the many mainstrean scientific disciplines, concepts, priciples and understandings that describe the natural world. [other than the common creationist misrepresentations, misquotes and outright lies about science, but which is NOT mainstream science..]
Does that make scientifically informed people the next in line for your worship..?

Doug, you conveniently omit that 500 yrs ago your mob were burning "alleged" heretics at the stake, men women and children..
The science of 500 yrs ago is NOT modern mainstream science, which is a highly evolved and verifiable description of the natural world. Your ridiculous perspectives however, are self contradictory, ignorant, arrogant and highly ill informed, which is indeed your choice..

Paul said in 1 Timothy 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
Your science is vain babbling when you think it disproves creation. In fact it overwhelmingly proves creation...

Dear sir/ma'am,
You seem highly misinformed or sarcastic. In any case, I think you mightily dumb for someone who seems so much more intelligent to condemn creationists as those who shun knowledge. And I hope you are really not like that.
My God does know everything because I believe that he created us and that is why, despite a low probability that this universe would be created, we exist. You are entitled to your disbelief in Him but don't categorize people and place "creationists" in a stereotype which is totally wrong.
This is the 21st century and you might want to realise that science and religion are not polar opposites. I believe in science and I also believe in my God. Have you ever wondered why the heck would an electron want to orbit the freaking nucleus? Why would those forces in place be there?
Science and religion are one and the same. And how do you know what's misrepresented? Discoveries are made every day and science is constantly changing.
Just learn a little more, will you? You'd find out that religion isn't cutting out science. We're not stupid. And I don't think you're dumb enough not to see that.

Your argument, or accusation, is flawed and a sweeping generalization. You assume that because someone does not share your viewpoint that they shun knowledge. The bible is not a science textbook, but it is scientifically accurate....the laws about hygiene were years before there time, as well as understandings of the shape of the earth, and many other things. There is no reason to believe that the bible's account of creation is inaccurate. Many people beleive in evolution as oppose to creation because it removes them from moral obligation. So just because you think you know a lot about science, which you very well may, you are very hasty to assume that all of your views are correct and "creationists" are all wrong.

The answer is simple. When one believes in the GOD of creation it is not necessary to "understand mainstream scientific disciplines." A believer may find certain theories interesting, but will not be influenced to change their personal convictions. We all have the right to think and believe as we wish.

Modern science 500 years ago is worthless today. God remains the same, and so does the Word. I have faith in an eternal foundation. Science will always change, and it always has. I don't shun knowledge, I shun knowledge that speaks against God. And that's my choice.
