Bulldogs and other dogs with deep wrinkles are prone to yeast infections in the dark moist parts of the wrinkles.
At the vet office where I work, the vet suggests dabbing the irritated places with a solution of 1/3 Listerine (the old yellow type, not the green one) and 2/3 water.
If this doesn't make an improvement in 3 or 4 days, you should take the dog to the vet for other treatment.
Neosporin usually doesn't do any good.

I have a Pug and developed my own treatment that has worked and she no longer has the nose wrinkle yuck. Go to a
Dollar store and get a tube of med for yeast infection and a tube of polymicin or neo if you have it. Put a little of each on a saucer and mix it up. Make sure you use a cosmetic, cotton pad to clean out the wrinkle in the deepest of recesses. Keep using a new pad and wiping until you get a clean pad. Apply the cream mixture before bed and the next morning clean the dog's wrinkle again and apply. If you do this for 5 to 7 days you should see good results. I have told others who it has worked for. It takes effort and consistency on your part. If after a week, there is still nose gunk, you will need the Vet to look at it. This is very common with the puggy nose breeds because the eye leaks moisture into the crevice, dirt and skin gets trapped in there with hair. It can get nasty. I will hope for the best for you and yours!!

It's probably a yeast infection, which is very common in dogs with folds and wrinkles in their skin. You should take her to the vet,but if you absolutely can't or won't,go to the drugstore and get some athlete's foot powder.Make sure it contains Miconazole,2%.Wipe the dog's wrinkles with witch hazel twice a day, drying well, afterwards, then apply powder between all of the folds and wrinkles.Try not to get it in her eyes.It won't hurt if she gets it in her mouth,Miconazole is poorly absorbed orally.Try this, and also, give the dog about a half - cup of PLAIN,unsweetened (NOT diet) yogurt, everyday. If,after a few weks, things have not improved, take her to a vet;she may need a prescription for Ketoconazole, which is an oral antifungal medication. And,before people start giving me thumbs down,my vet told me to do this, and my cousin, who is a dog groomer, does it as well. It's safe and it works, honestly.

keep him dry with cornstarch, and if that doesn't help and it stinky and red, you have red yeast, try monistat cream, the one day treatment kind is strongest, wipe it on every day, morning and night after you clean out the wrinkle for about ten days, after you put a small dab of it, dust it very carefully with cornstarch, I just used my fingers to apply the powder..
If you happen to have any Panalog for the dogs ear infections handy, that will work faster, sparingly, followed with the baby powder (pure cornstarch ) kind...
