The only way to know is to try it. Over the counter scar treatments only have a success rate of 25 - 50%. There are so many factors to take into consideration when it comes to scar minimization that the best route to go is to see a dermatologist. Some patients have great success with the store bought products, especially if the scar is a recent completely healed scar. Many of the older scars do not benefit at all or have to be treated for months before an improvement is seen. You can either try it or see a dermatologist. Good luck!
