I totally agree with you! I have many Muslim friends and they are so nice. I have never heard them say anything bad about any other religion and they practice but they are not fanatics.
It makes me sick at the hatred against them. I mean they are the ones dying and being killed in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine. yet they are labled terrorist! I have read on Islam allot and the religion is quiet peaceful. I think people do not understand that terrorist acts and suicide bombings have nothing to do with the religion and everything to do with desperation!

I am sorry that so many non-Muslims criticize Muslims. You are absolutely correct -- before they criticize, they should study it first.
Which is exactly what I am doing.
I try never to criticize Muslims but the more I study Islam the more surprised I am at what I find. Maybe you, as a convert to Islam who advocates studying Islam, can answer some of these questions.
I was taught, as a Christian, that God loves all his children, and that God's love is unconditional. But I find in the Koran more than a dozen different categories of sinners that Allah does not love: the unjust, the arrogant, the mischief-makers, the treacherous; it even says, "Allah does not love any ungrateful sinner." Tell me, if we are all sinners, and mostly ungrateful given our selfish human nature, does God love anyone? I find this fundamentally opposite of the Christian faith. Can you explain this one to me?
Also, why are there so many verses in the Koran telling the Muslims to kill? After Muhammad marched on Mecca, he "revealed" a Surah called The Repentence (Surah 9). It says to capture and kill the idolaters wherever you find them, to ambush them (verse 5).
Did you know about this before you converted?
If you want the many verses "Allah does not love..." and about killing, let me know and I'll paste them in.
Until now I have not found anyone who could explain these things to me in any reasonable way. I would very much appreciate your thoughts. You probably have some good answers because you converted and you say we should all study Islam, so I assume you have done so.

I agree that people should learn about Islam. In fact, the more I read about Islam, the more convinced I am that it is NOT the religion of peace. I am not ignorant. I have spoken to people from Islamic countries, seen interviews with young Islamic children who call Jews pigs and apes, read about honor killings, etc. Let's not forget September 11, the various be-headings, car bombs in London and Glasgow. It seems to me, the people who carried out these atrocities were the Muslims we see on the street. (students, doctors). Go peddle your nonsense somewhere else. I'm not buying it.

Your question was pretty incomprehensible, but I got the gist of it...
You know what? I'm EXTREMELY disappointed that more Muslims and the Islamic community don't act to CONDEMN the actions of the terrorists of the world! If they came forward and made a fuss about how AWFUL these actions are, then more people would understand that not ALL Muslims are bad! But when they say nothing, when they act as if terrorist actions are OK with them -- well, then, what are we SUPPOSED to think?

Who was bashing?
I certainly wasn't.
Although I do wish that the more moderate muslims would come forward and speak out against the extremists. You know, try to educate everyone about the reality of Islam. That would go a long towards repairing relations.
By the way, in the lower right of your keyboard there are little marks used to break up sentences called punctuation marks. They're really quite useful.

i agree with you . theres too much rudeness here. the atheists are rude to muslims and christian, many christians are rude to muslims, etc.. im strong enough in my christian faith not to fall apart every time someone says something against christianity. i think its a sign of insecurity about ones belief system to get angry withthe person. if anything, when i read some of the comments by the atheists, i feel sorry for them. they just dont know what awaits them.

the problem the islamic community has, is that the moderate muslims generally refuse to denounce the fundamentalists for what they do in the name of islam. osama bin laden for example tells the world that islam is a religion of peace, and that he is a devout muslim, and then he orders his people to fly airplanes into buildings and kill 3000 innocent people. the clerics of iran also claim to be devout muslims, and that islam is a religion of peace and tolerance, and then in their next breath they call for the destruction of both the US and israel. muslims claim to be peaceful and then kill people to prove it. sorry but it doesnt hold water.

You say you are sick of people bashing your faith and you are sick of it , and why are they doing that? Simple , the people was hurt or their love one have died in the hands of your faith. You choose to be in that religion or faith and you have to accept the persecution even in unfairness. We too face the same situation and how we tried to meet peace with other faith but to no avail. Even people who don't believe in God is persecuted. You cannot escape. Either you are of faith or not. Pointing fingers or rationalizing or accusing is the most coward way of addressing or confronting the situation, so don't brood. Please think about it and if you feel insulted, I beg for pardon, for I am only responding to your question to the best knowledge of my understanding.

Because you are just CHRISTIANS IN BLANKETS. You want your beliefs taught in school, legislated in government, and forced on everyone. Why do you say their was hate before 9/11? Is it because you pretend to be victims, just like christians, by attacking others beliefs and calling it self defense.

Probably because Islam is changing the world for the deader. If you re-write your question details with an attempt at correct punctuation then maybe I'll read them.
