why would an almighty entity do it? i mean it would be more logical to just have these people with him straightaway and not make them live and worship him....
If he just wanted people to worship him why would he care to create a place where they would go after dying?
If anyway he just wanted to test them and afterwards reward the ones who believe in him why doesnt he create only believers???

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:6-9

Therein lies the rub. Your questions reflects the limited knowledge/ability to think of 5th century BC Jewish tribal leaders (aka Abraham, Moses, etc.)

Part of the believer's problem is that no questioning of the almighty's representatives is permitted. That's why we have the almost-miracle of the same story being told virtually unchanged for almost seven thousand years.

It would be a miracle, except that the story is indoctrinated into small children, and acceptance into society is largely based on accepting the story.

Cross-cultural contact between people of different beliefs will eventually cancel out all of them, though.

To begin with, when I say "God", I mean the God of the Bible.

Yes, God did create "people who have to believe in him to be saved and be with him."

If God simply created people and immediately placed them in His presence, then they would essentially be forced to be there and worship Him. They could not say no. They were placed in His presence automatically, with no say of their own. God did not want people to be forced to worship and love Him, for that is neither true love nor worship. He wanted us to have a choice, to say "Yes."

A reason that earth is here is to provide us with an opportunity to say "Yes" to God. It is a place to decide to follow Him, or to decide otherwise (which leads to our misfortune).

Again, if only believers were created in the first place, then it would be a similar situation to the first scenario. They would be believers, but not by choice, and thus would not truly love. That is not what God wants.

True love is a choice. God has provided us with the will and opportunity to make that choice. He wants our true love, not our pre-programmed, robotic, forced love and worship.

Hope this helps.

Edit:
As another answerer pointed out, God did create the Garden of Eden as a perfect place. But even there, mankind had a choice, and the ability to choose. Let me rephrase my answer to the third scenario: If a place were created where only believers existed, then in order to have true love, there must be a choice available that leads to the contrary. God provided such a place in the Garden of Eden. With the temptation of the tree, God gave Adam and Eve a choice: Follow Him or follow their own desires. They chose the latter, as have every one of us since, excluding Jesus Christ. Those of us who choose to ignore God's call to us to return to Him--manifested in the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ--will pay dearly for that choice.

well think about this adam and eve was supposely sent on earth with no religon right..so theres jews, arabics, and christians, cathliocs but who is to say which ones are real..so chrisians are right and jews are wrong.people made up the bible as stories beacuse the bible was written by people who knows they could have been drunk when they wrote it. so dont worry so much about religon its like a massive jim jones theory...focus on live now and be happy because when you die there could be nothing after

He does, some day all will believe. If you think of belief as a state of mind instead of a place, how could you experience it without believing. God is love and love never fails.

He did. It was called the Garden of Eden. Man screwed things up and we are going about life as we presently are. Read Genesis to gain more information. PS Consider too, that if we were created to do things one way and one way only, there would be no choices in life. We'd be little more than computer programs, robots or puppets. Doing only what we were programed to do. God made things so we would have choices in life. It's up to us to make the right ones.

God wants humans to choose to love God. why so they wouldn't be force to love a God. Is forced love, truly love at all? NO. Humans would be like robots. He didn't want humans to fall into sin but he had to give them the choose.
With the way things are, people are born into sin. Agree with me that living in sin is horrible. Once we understand that Jesus can take away our sin, we are grateful and thankful for His great Love. "We love Him [Jesus] because He first Loved US." Therefore, all believers love God genuinely because they understand that sin is horrible and painful. And they chose Good over Evil.

Its called free will. God loves us so much, and this will sound strange, but He loves us so much that He would let us damn ourselves to hell rather than make us slaves.

He didn't need us anyway. Because He's triune, that is three persons making up the One God, He's self sustaining. He IS love, He didn't create to love or to be loved, but OUT of love.

Pure genius. That is so common sense!

Because in order to truly love someone, you must have a choice. If we were all created as believers, then we would just be robots.

Why did He do it? I dunno for sure... but as someone who has loved and been loved, I think I have an idea.
