I turned on the tv early one moring to see this guy preach about how they needed 4 million dollars to build this glass church somewhere in the us, and they managed it in a very short time. Clearly these people aren't thinking, guess theres a lot of empty wallets there lol.

Why would anyone be surprised?
It's why y'all were able to justify going to war in Iraq with lies. Only a gullible 90% could be have been sucked in by a money-grabbing greedy president with less scruples and class than Nixon.

Note for Don - I believe in God. Just not the Judeo-Christian version. So don't make the mistake of thinking that "Only Christians believe in God."

Edited, because I went and read the article.

What's scary:

"Nearly half (48 percent) of the public rejects the scientific theory of evolution; one-third (34 percent) of college graduates say they accept the Biblical account of creation as fact."

Now that's just sad.

Are we supposed to feel surprised by this? I mean, we kinda already knew the majority of people believe in a deity...

It's a sad commentary on our "educational" system. Critical thinking skills should be taught right from the earliest grades, and continue throughout schooling. Progress and innovation do not come from ignorance, but from creative, questioning minds. We're going in a destructive direction, and I hope things turn around before it's too late.

i walk in the street a man approaches: Do you believe in god? he asks...yes i say (thinking of something else)...it is so easy to say i believe...it would be better a survey where the person who asks the question pretends to need help, then we would see how many believers really live to what they believe
