White people get hair lice and black people don't because their hair folicles are thinner. A mixed individual can get them due to their hair folicles being thin. I'm not sure why white people get them in the first place though. It's kind of like chicken pox. One kid gets it from somewhere and then all the other white kids have to be checked for it.

I don't think they approach a certain "type". If you try on a hat that was just on the head of someone with lice... if you have hair... you will have lice.
Lice don't like extreme heat so one theory as to why some people (for example in the same family) get it and others don't is because they are blow drying their hair.
As far as how long they will exist? They can just keep breeding until they are literally falling out as you move... They have to be treated with a special shampoo then you have to use a fine tooth comb to remove the eggs that attach to the hair strands.Sometimes it takes several treatments.

The people with head lice are the people who were exposed to those parasites. Let's call them the "Chosen Ones."
Now these Chosen Ones will continue to have head lice until all of the lice die. But before they all die, the lice will reproduce and the cycle of The Arthropod will continue endlessly until the Host (that is, the Chosen One) either kills the lice, runs out of blood or dies.
The life cycle of the head louse is short, but they make lots of baby lice, so the Chosen Ones will never run out of entertainment with this pest.
Feel same and secure to know that the different types body lice are particular to the hair type, so head lice stay on your head and pubic lice stay in your pubes.

Any type of hair can get hair lice. Best way to avoid it is not to share any combs, brushes, etc. Also be careful trying on hats and listening to music in stores that have those public head phones. Thicker hair is harder to get rid of the lice because it's harder to find the nits to remove. Also, don't hang your coat or jacket or hat next to an article of clothing of someone who has head lice. When you get treated for lice, someone needs to go through the whole head of hair with a super fine tooth comb. Usually a person needs more than one treatment, and bedding and clothes need to be washed with super hot water. Couches and chairs, etc., need to be cleaned and sprayed. The lice may die, but one never gets over them without treatment because the eggs they lay keep hatching. That's why one needs to be so careful to use the comb after the treatment. When the eggs hatch the new nits will lay eggs, and on and on. Also, that is how others are infested, if one of their eggs is on an article of clothing or a phone, etc., and the next person has accidently picked it up and it hatches in their hair. The eggs are usually most plentiful in the areas behind the ears, but can be throughout here and there. I've also heard they can be treated with gobs of mayonaise distributed through the hair and plastic wrap over the mayo. But that was just something I read, and it needs to be left on for several hours. Hope this helps.

it somewhat is widely used to sense some itching interior the days after your treatment, purely the seen head lice makes my head itch. The saliva the lice use to quit your blood from clotting would reason an allergic reaction, very like mosquitoes. you would be able to also have a tender scalp you have purely dealt with it with a pesticide. you will possibly be in choose if a great moisturising conditioner or get carry of a bottle of head and shoulders. as long as you haven't any longer any lice or eggs you ought to be nice. in the previous you hear to every person advising you to repeat your pesticide treatment please evaluate here: No chemical head lice treatment is legally allowed to be categorized as 'risk-free' as each insecticide is a poison. each pesticide education has the aptitude to do severe injury watching the guy. Lindane to illustrate is a accepted carcinogen and is now banned in fifty two diverse international places. yet it remains utilized in greater desirable than 6 million prescriptions interior the US. Google 'Jesse's tale Head Lice' for greater. All lice killing insecticides are a poison and have the aptitude to reason severe injury, although if used as directed. If a lice treatment does not artwork as quickly because it shouldn't artwork two times, surely the lice that stay will breed into an entire new batch that are resistant to that chemical. study those articles and attempt to discover a organic treatment containing Neem oil as this renders the lice no longer able to reproduce hence making it impossible for them to construct up a resistance. good success, we've been there.

They like clean hair. If your hair is oily or it has a lot of hair products in it, they won't like to live there. You have to get a medicated lice shampoo and comb out all the eggs for them to go away. But you ALSO have to wash all your bed linens in very HOT water. And get your carpets professionally cleaned, too. If you don't do all those things, then they will just keep coming back.
I've also heard you can smother them by putting baby oil or Vasaline or mayonaise in your hair.

I watched an animation before about lice.. I think it was Charlie Brown... I think they prefer long hair, and will probably exist for a very very long time, untill you take some action against them (special shampoo, etc). They also will be on your bed.. So beware ^^
*Edit: Actually, the animation was "Arthur".
