Or will they realize how much we need guidance?

I'm afraid we have probably already scared off plenty of visitors with our television shows. But on the other hand, as you point out, there may be a civilization sufficiently advanced that they will have compassion for our ignorance and come to try to help us. If they have been monitoring carefully, they may realize that one really unmistakable alien visit would wake up a whole lot of people.

But here's a chilling thought: can they tap the Internet, and read these questions and answers? What effect does it have for them to read all the blogs? All the sheer meanness in groups like the neo-Nazis and the rest?

No more sneaking around Roseville, guys: speak up!

Hopefully advanced alien civilzations would merely skip visiting Earth. It could be much worse, though. The probability that aliens would be altruistic in nature is only a 4.87 percent chance. The chance that they would be easily annoyed is the inverse, a 95.13 percent chance. There is a 83.7 percent chance that FTL-Drive extraterrestrial technology would make the Death Star look like a pop-gun. To save our planet from severe atomic disruption, we have to kill our TV sets, it's the only way to exorcise televangelists. We need to act now, before it's too late.

I hope they just skip Earth. After seeing televangelists they may want to destroy humanity.

They were here about 2,000 years ago. The people of the area took one of them, beat him, jammed a bunch of thorns on his head, made him drag a huge piece of wood to a hilltop, took off his clothes and raffled them off. Then they nailed him to the piece of wood, and stuck a spear through his side to make sure he was dead. Then they made up a religion that PREACHES his message of love but actually uses HIS words to hate everyone that isn't like them.

They're ALIEN, not stupid. They aren't coming back. Get it?

Hello. Well Hollywood already has the T.V. show "V". But here is the twist you have almost described what the book of Revelation says Satan, the fallen angels and his human followers will do. Read the book of Revelation and if you do not understand it look for more info on line you will be surprised at how close you are with your observations. Peace.

The tele-waves have already reached out far enough to warn them or "our" stupidity. Damn those televangelists for spoiling my free cosmic ride.

All you are asking is hypothetical. There are no alien civilizations, therefore they will never visit the earth, and can't give us knowledge that doesn't exist.

The only alien that came from space was Jesus Christ, and He was alien to most men because they didn't recognize who He really was, and didn't abide by His commandments.

They probably tape Benny Hinn and play it at home on their comedy network.

I wonder if any aliens fall for it.
